For the people whining about the OP, the number one indicator of success for a PUG when raiding is communication. There's a time and place for joking around but there's also a time and place for important callouts so that the team stays on track. I've noticed in my raids that when PUGs settle down and start to eliminate non-essential chatter, usually after a few wipes, then the team focuses and executes much better. #1 is right on point--use your gamertag or role (Plate 1, etc.). Not only is it clear for the team on what is going on, it also creates a "rhythm" of the fight that helps stabilize the team. When I run Titan for the Oryx fight it becomes routine for the whole group. "Ogre 1 is down." "Knight 1 is down". "Ogre 2 is down". "Knight 2 is down." etc. Not only is is helpful for the team but it also forces accountability on people perform or acknowledge they need help so we can cover (i.e., they missed their Knight and it's charging to the blight). #2 doesn't bother me so much. We use this time to communicate who has a bubble to put down, which Hunter will shoot the tether, and what the situation is with thrall in the shade realm so that we can control the situation. #3 Just pop the chest and be done with it. #4 Doesn't bother me so much, you're basically doing some type of jumping puzzle afterwards so just tune it out and focus on getting to the next fight. #5 This usually is the sign of a young kid who can't handle silence and feels the need to talk incessantly. Nothing wrong with asking the group to keep the coms open for essential information only.
