What do you think? I personally think it's a bit lame that you can be killed when you aren't able to control your character. IMO that is the opponents fault for allowing the person to revive the fallen player in the first place.
Edit: this isn't about the act of reviving or specifically about sniping. This is about being able to die without having control of your character.
Edit: a lot of great responses on both sides of the argument.
Edit: I see a lot of people makin assumption about how the player died or the scenario in which they are being revived. In the question I posed the way they died is irrelevant and how or where they are revived are irrelevant as well. For all you know they may have died in an epic gun fight. And for all you know there may have been nobody around when the revive happened but as soon as the revive happens someone pops out and one shots them and they have no way to dodge or counter. People keep talking about rewarding the player that died but there is no reward their is a cumulative timer and there team has to get the revive.
Edit: a lot of people saying the poll is biased but nobody can seem to mention how it's biased.

There's a strategy to Rez a teammate without letting em get sniped. You don't Rez them while 3 snipers are watching lol

11 AntwortenBearbeitet von Gladiaattori1500: 1/11/2016 10:53:16 AMThat poll is biased and you are trying to manipulate our opinions with your wordings. If you say 'this isn't only about revive killing but killing someone that is defenseless in general' then why did you title uour post 'revive killing'? You made a poll with the title 'revive killing', therefore your poll is about revive killing and nothing else. And your wordings are not objective but are rather forcing the subjective perspective that the player being revived is defenseless(another argument would be for instance that the player whom is being revived deserves to be in the situation of being put straight back down because they died in the first place) Your poll is hence biased and attempting to influence our opinions(in which you gladly weren't even succesful). Stop trying to convince us otherwise and go read about objective vs subjective or something.

2 AntwortenThe way you word the options it is like being in the supermarket and being asked do you want to buy a green reusable bag or kill a baby seal? *shows picture of baby seal chewing on plastic*

I can't stand those -blam!-ing invincibility frames. Such trash
-
3 AntwortenYou can shove them out of the way while they are still in the revive animation.
-
4 AntwortenI think they should remove the immunity
-
6 AntwortenThey should remove reviving, if you're dead then you're dead, as simple as that.
-
There just shouldn't be revives...
-
It's not the killers fault, just the teammates. They should know not to revive you in the lines of fire. I mean considering how effective the quick revive is it would be unfair not to allow it.
-
Anyone saying "You shouldn't reward players that died" are completely missing the mark about other game modes. Trials and elimination is about the revive. You aren't punishing the player for dying, you're punishing the teammate who just executed a game mechanic with zero reward. It didn't require counter play to even do it. Remove Rez sniping, don't give the person going for the revive an over shield. Boom. The person sniping can still down a target if they are MLGnoscope 1k crutch drag scope aim assist "all skill" masters, and the individual going for the revive still has to make an informed decision to revive, and still have personal risk for themselves and the team. Oh, and add increased flinch, increase stow and pull out times, and get rid of short scopes. Some bullet drop, sway, and breath holding might be dope too. But no, you're a sniper master remember?
-
You shouldn't reward a player that died. You should not be able to revive just by running past someone. If you really want invincibility after revive have the revive take at least 3 seconds then that way their is a risk/reward affect. As it is now all I hear is I died now I want to be rewarded. Get real and to all the people that voted to reward someone that died. You're all scubs gtfo
-
It's completely fair. The reviver must assess the situation to determine if it is safe for a revive. It's their responsibility to revive the dead teammate and therefore their fault if the teammate gets revived and instakilled. Furthermore, what's the alternative? If the revived person got an immunity shield (or an over shield) longer than the one they have, it would be incredibly unfair to the opponents.
-
16 AntwortenNice, you tried to influence the outcome of the poll, and still didn't get the results you wanted. Lmao!
-
8 AntwortenIn response to your last edit: Using the word "defenseless" makes it biased. It sways our opinion to empathize to the person being revived.
-
1 AntwortenI just slide into them after the revive, that usually does the trick.
-
2 AntwortenHigh impact snipers should have slower fire rate. So if you miss the headshot you don't have enough time to land a second shot. High risk/high reward
-
3 AntwortenI think it's fair. The reviver has to make a good revive and or do something so the person who is being revived doesn't get killed. So, if you know how to revive then it's completely fair.
-
1 AntwortenI think the revive over shield should be a immunity shield for only the person getting revived, but for the person who's getting revived and has the immunity shield should not even be able to shoot there gun (until the shield wears off of course) so it would be even for the person trying to res snipe/kill them cannot damage them and the person getting revived can't damage them. Even tradeoff
-
1 AntwortenYou can push him out of the way really.
-
3 AntwortenYou shouldn't have left yourself out in the open to be revived killed
-
1 AntwortenSo when you're playing, you're only chewing bubble gum huh?
-
3 AntwortenThis post is 2 biased
-
10 AntwortenYou should be able to kill someone defenseless, and the reviver should not get a shield
-
1 AntwortenAll is fair in love and war......
-
4 AntwortenYou do not deserve to be rewarded for dying. Just because your teammate can pick you up doesn't mean you should be invulnerable to damage. That is your teammates job, to make sure you can be safely revived. If you were invulnerable while being revived quick res exotics would be even more intolerable than they are now. Quick Res Exotics, Light Beyond Nemesis and Crest of Alpha Lupi, are pathetic and literally win rounds for a team that died more in Trials/Elimination, it's a complete joke! NO MORE CRUTCHES NO MORE CRUTCHES NO MORE CRUTCHES lol protesting
