Im not here to cry OP or Nerf Plz but i just think it's kind of saddening to see nearly half of all players use these three guns (MIDA, TLW, 1KYS)
you would like to think there would be a large number of viable options that arent these 3. I understand the thousand yard is the only realistic option for rez sniping but still.
Thoughts?
EDIT:
Just went flawless and ran into 2 team of MIDA/1KDS only and 2 teams of TLW/1KYS only.
Shoutout to the team we ran into that was using fusion rifles and the guy with the First Curse.

4 AntwortenDoctrine of passing Hard light Haakon hatchet Defiance of yasmine(i believe) and eirene can rez snipe Buttload of shotguns Plan C Autorifles will take a moment for majority of crucible players to catch on. But they are pretty nice right now

9 AntwortenThink it has to be like that, all the best fps games over the years have revolved around 1 or 2 strong guns, it makes for good balanced pvp. unfortunately bungie keeps bowing to public option and changing them

5 AntwortenBearbeitet von Guardian2977: 1/5/2016 6:41:24 PMSimple: crucibabies whined about everything, so 95% of weapons suck. Those that haven't been nerfed to hell are what's left--in this case the scouts and sidearms. But crucibabies won't stop until these two weapon types are nerfed. Just look at all the current posts: Mida needs NERF, Mida is op. Crucibabies are the doom of this game. Because they suck at crucible and can't stand it that someone outplays them. They don't blame themselves, no, but they do blame the weapon. Even when they use said "op" weapon, they still die because they suck. But again, it's not their fault, it's the fault of the current "op" weapon. Where were these stupid sheep crying for a Mida NERF when thorn ruled, or shadow price, or Vex, or Hawkmoon, or TLW, or Felwinter's, or 1,000 yard? They (crucibabies) think they're 1%, but what they don't realize is they're the 1% at sucking the hardest.

1 Antworten1KYS - quest reward Conspiracy Theory-D - quest reward Mida and TLW - can be bought from the vendor if you had a 1y version Personally, I really hate TLW, but I'll still defend it in this case. All those weapons are really good, and are very easy to obtain. There are other weapons that are just as good (if not better), such as Nirwen's mercy and Doctrine of Passing, however getting them is a lot harder than the top weapons. People pick the best out what they have, that's why those weapons are at the top.

13 Antworteninfusing in y2 makes it very expensive (unless extremely lucky) to get weapons to max light to participate in end-game where light levels matter. I suspect that when players are evaluating what is worth infusing they flock to the "known quantity" weapons that are widely accepted as best chance for overall success. 1kys was given out early to almost everyone and was likely a lot of players highest infused sniper already when higher light snipers started dropping.

6 AntwortenIt gets pretty annoying when everyone uses the exact same guns. Most hunters don't even use the stillpiercer... they use a 1k stare. I still use Hawkmoon
-
I do see your point mate but on banner people will use the weapon they fell will earn them the most kills. Ballancing will always be an issue unless every gun was the same
-
Why do you think so?
-
2 AntwortenBetter question, why did thorn make 50% of the kills during HoWs?
-
What sucks is that I used mida almost all of year 1 and now it'll probably be nerfed cause now everyone wants to use it and others will think it's op cause of it. Kinda like a song that the radio plays over and over again until you don't like it anymore.
-
Because 40% of people have no personality (aka bandwagoners)

Cuz bungie team went for vacations right after xûr sold mida...

Mida, stare

You all need to feel the power of the Doctrine of Passing ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) its a cheese grater

Bearbeitet von Cloonex: 1/6/2016 4:55:00 PMThere are so many viable weapons but there aren't enough creative people out there to design better builds. Too many just going with the flow I usually run: Doctrine of Passing 4th Horseman Objection VI Thinking about replacing Doctrine with Haakons Hatchet tho

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von The 7th fall: 1/6/2016 10:59:28 AMWe can thank Bungie for nerfing every other weapon class and select exotics into the ground and only leaving a select few guns that are of any real use. Bungie has to learn that nerfing to balance won't do anything except make a certain gun type overused because it is more effective than the rest. If they just pull a 360 turn on us and instead buff their way to balance and make everything overpowering than we'll see diversity in gun usage again.

Uhhhh... I still see a shit ton of shotguns
-
Mida was hyped up, and TLW and 1KS are just good to use right now.
-
Because they are good at their job and are relatively easy to obtain
-
They are op. This happens every nerf and always will. One or 2 guns become op.
-
may run a card next week to where if I get a kill with a gun I have to switch off of it for the rest of the card

MIDA is a great gun, and pairs well with shotguns which are still doing extremely well, even though I thought they'd be nerfed into obscurity. A lot of the time, MIDA is being used by someone who is also using a conspiracy theory-D. Watch out for that, because it handles mid to long range in the primary slot, and the special is self serving as a close range power house. TLW and 1kys both pair very well together, because you have all range needs met. The close to medium range, even though you'll be using TLW more for close than anything else. And 1kys is the mid to long range problem solver. Couple this with literally any heavy you're effective with (quillim's terminus, ruin wake, any of the swords, or a good rocket launcher) and you've got a deadly loadout. You have to remember, people aren't playing for fun, they're playing to win, to try and be the best. What point is there in trying out different weapons if these ones are tried and true, right? The Omolon scout that was being sold last night that I'm very excited to see based just on stats alone because it's the Jade Rabbit/jade rabbit impact/rate of fire variant. I'm hyped af to see it, actually. My favorite archetype of scout is back, so now, let's just hope we see it with good perks.
