---Que shadestep fanboys---
Now, I've never posted anything like this before, but being an avid crucible 'sweaties' participant, I feel strongly about this and something needs to be done...
I have seen random nobodies go from being a free kill to making you work for it.
I have watched average skilled players go from being somewhat competitive to near unbeatable, basically over night.
All this due to changing subclass and combining certain elements of gear and perks to what is now way over powered...
Lets start by breaking it down a little:
In the last column of the skill tree we have Shadestep and Keen Scout,
Shadestep as we all know is an evasive roll that not only has next to no cool down, but makes you
1) Immune to damage for a brief moment
2) Almost invisible and near impossible to see which direction the roll is, and
3) one that most people are not aware of, Breaks off all aim assist and target acquisition... Then you have Keen Scout giving you enhanced motion tracker and Marks any target that you damage, also giving your allies a 'way point' to the target. This is effectively a Wall Hack and gives the person an overwhelming upper hand, especially when using a sniper rifle or a shotgun to know your enemies EXACT position and real time movements. In a sniper battle if you are 'hunted' and you dare step out to make the shot, you're dead basically before you step out. If you're up against a shotgun, all they have to do is run towards what ever cover you're behind, shadestep into you with their rolling ball of immunity and 'char' you're dead.
I can't even begin to recount the amount of times I have began a primary weapon battle with a nightstalker only for them to take a bullet and roll into cover to recover whilst watching me through a wall, double nading my exact location then rolling out to finish me with one shot or rolling in with a shotty like the previous example. Better yet, I have been forced to disengage my gun battle and completely change tactic, but I can't try and snipe him because he can see exactly where I'm standing. I am forced to run and hide until 'hunted' wears off, all whilst packing fudge into my undies because i don't know if he's going to pre fire me, nade me, roll shotgun me, super me, snipe me, or send his friends in to my exact position...
AND it gets better guys!! With the grav Exotic helmet, I can use both of these perks...
Now lets look at grenades and melee:
This can go one of 2 ways. Invis nade to further disengage from battles and disappear from radar whilst sneaking "faster" and gaining better vantage point. OR more popular is combining the smoke/snare, slowing/damaging the person in or near the cloud with a Vortex grenade at the same time basically guaranteeing a kill or a very weak opponent who cant jump and can barely see enough to shoot you back.. the smoke and vortex can been thrown at the same time to the same spot, you can't jump/boost/glide out of it, you cant even blink out of it..
The Super, Shadow Shot:
Apart from the Fact that it one-shot you, it can be shot either 3 times or have its duration AND range significantly increased, it completely cancels out ANY other Super, impairs your vision, cancels your abilities out, makes it that you cannot move/jump/blink and at the mercy of the night stalker and his team mates. Oh and Sunsinger locks no, you cant self rez when that little purple ball of fkyouup is sitting there guarding your orb.
There are no doubt parts that i missed, gear and weapon combinations like the already borderline op mida/shotgun set up, but I'm not going to leave this as a "rage post" or anything like that so I'd like to leave a few suggestions to perhaps fix some of this and invite any mature mind to contribute.
- Shadestep needs a longer cool down.
- Shadowshot tethers need a lot less hp so that there is a chance to destroy them if on the ground and allow it to be somewhat countered.
- "Hunted" or Target Marking should be removed or toned right down to around 3 seconds.. It is effectively a WALL HACK... come on that is ridiculous, we already have permanent radar.
- Smoke slow/snare should be able to be blinked out of or jumped out of or something OR there should be a cool down added between smoke thrown and grenade thrown.
Everyone cried when Hammer Titans ruled but that was only a super... this whole class is one giant super. It is so unfairly balanced it's crazy... Being a First Person Shooter, we should be rewarding GUNSKILL not super/ability exploitation. Abilities should compliment, not determine.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von BIKENB0NER: 1/18/2016 7:59:13 PMOK first it doesn't make you immune to damage during shadestep (haven't read all post yet). Second it's an evasive roll, why should it tell you where it's going to roll(you can tell by the way the smokes going btw). Third I've used shadestep and gone against shadestep for a while now and haven't noticed a single decrease in target accusation. Fourth, it's called an enhanced motion tracker for a reason and Nightstalker is a support class it is supposed to be beneficial to the team. Plus just because it's it's kills you time and time again doesn't mean it should be nerfed. Your description on our grenades explain exactly what they're supposed to do. The Smoke is supposed to act as a self aid or an offensive device. With the envenomed perk it poisons you and decreases movement speed. It acts as a territorial grenade and combined with Vortex it's even more territorial.and you say it can kill anything with decently low health...can't anything? You say you can shoot 3 times with tether, assuming your mainly a warlock, your probably used to bombing the area with plain luck and vision instead of accurate hunters being able to get you with a bow. Ever super is one-shot so Idk why you're complaining. The Nightstalker subclass is supposed to be a super counter, that's why it can disable any super apon activation, that's why it's so unique. What would be the point of anything on the Nightstalker subclass if you could just as easily blink or jump out of the traps we set down, it's your fault of you walk into or in and open area to be affect by their traps. You call it exploitation when it's in the game for everyone to use, it's not a cheat. You call this game a first person shooter when Bungie says it's an open world "MMO". I apologize if I came across rude or made you salty, I just believe my statement is my opinion backed with facts.

No. Just no.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Big Factoids: 1/18/2016 5:02:22 AMYou want raw gunskill? Play halo ce or cs source.
-
If it's so OP (it's actually not since I still kill shade stepping hunters) then just go and get it for yourself! Jeez! Nerfs have ruined crucible!
-
1 AntwortenIf you get ANYTHING nerfed in pvE I will hunt you down and tell you you're a twat.
-
One last thing. If the NightStalker is op then I should get really good and you should be scared. If not, why call for a nerf? And then rat on me for my average k/d and say your scared? If it is op then you should stay off Destiny for a while.
-
I agree. The game should reward gunskill. So. Eliminate supers and exotics from crucible and it should add a lot more balance, yeah? Or keep those thing? Because "balance" and "gunskill"
-
Maybe your just bad, or had a bad time....

*Facepalms*

10 AntwortenYOU ARE USING THE THORN and losing because of hunters can get away from it that's what you really mad about .....guns skill my ass
-
If you want a different approach, use bubble bro and throw some suppressor grenades, they lose all abilities just like shadow shot and will be easy to combat
-
under powered
Fixed it.

You suck anyway
-
7 AntwortenThe fact that you using THORN on warlock but talking thus trash about gun skill. How much skill does using THORN take? Take your ,3 page letter and delete this post
-
You can take damage and be killed while in shadestep. Dont use nightstalker in pvp but its fine.
-
5 AntwortenNow, I did not know that. So thank you. If I meet you prepare for everything you mentioned up there.

Nerf herder

2 AntwortenYou have summoned me

Bearbeitet von joey big guns: 1/15/2016 5:55:32 PMIf you can't follow a hunter shade stepping you need to get your eyes checked. The whole purpose of shadows shot is to do what it currently does. Slow ppl down and keep them from using abilities. You just sound butthurt. Someone please summon him.

Shut. The. Fûck. Up. Sincerely, Not a Hunter
-
Yo what class you play as? I can give you some tip that some people haven't use lately.
-
11 AntwortenA.) Shadestep doesn't actually make you invincible, just invisible. So you're wrong there B.) If you're getting out-gunned by Hunters in close range or sniped at long range, don't engage. There's something called flanking, learn it. C.) You can still very easily kill whoever tethered you, just look for them. Don't just sit and cry in their tether D.) Hunted isn't even a complete wall hack. It's just a hitmarker that lingers on the target. And it doesn't show up on anyone else's map. And if you're crying about them sending their teammate after you with it, then it's called teamwork; the way you win. Many of your complaints with Nightstalkers seems to be personal. Just get better

6 AntwortenHand eye coordination. Learn it.

Bearbeitet von Toecttr: 1/16/2016 1:38:34 AMJust no no NO!! I main a Striker and I'm against nerfs across the board. I do think that Warlocks are the biggest crutch class going in Destiny. With their self Rez,ranged melee and over shields but OP and in need of a nerf,ABSOLUTELY NOT. I respect the Warlocks and their abilities and so I take care when confronting one in the Crucible. So I win some and lose some, que sera sera. Hunters on the other hand...well if you can't beat a Hunter in the Crucible you need to find another game to play.
