There are few supers that are actually worse than this damn bubble.
It can't move, meaning that it's only useful in objective game modes. Unless you use Armor, it's a joke to kill a Defender in his/her own bubble. Even then, Stormcallers, Gunslingers, Strikers, Voidwalkers, and even Sunbreakers can take down a bubble quite easily at hardly any risk (except maybe for Strikers). And don't even get me started on what happens when your whole damn team decides you look lonely in that bubble and blocks all your shots and melees when the enemy team inevitably comes to take a whack at the kill pinata. And of course there's the fact that I can't melee or shoot through it, even when an enemy has most of his -blam!-ing head inside mah bubble, as long as the last 2mm of his heel is outside, he's perfectly safe.
The only super I know that I'm safe from is the Nightstalker, but I'd take that over the bubble any day of the week. At least you can move. And you get three shots with the right perk.
Add to this the fact that you get no orbs or extra points for kills made while buffed by this soap bubble, and you get the rotten cherry on top of a shit sundae.
Now, yes, I have gotten multi-kills with a bubble. Lots of other people get multi-kills with a bubble. Defenders are a decent subclass...except for that damn bubble. If I want to make effective use of this thing, I need to hope that the other team has already used up their supers, or that they've somehow forgotten that they have supers.
Hell, in terms of area denial, I'd be better off just using FoH with Aftershocks. At least then I'm guaranteed to deal some damage to whoever walks on in.
Rant over. Happy New Year, Guardians.

8 AntwortenA titan defender is a very good subclass, if you know how to use it -Weapons of light -Sapression grenade -armor of light -helm of saint 14 -force barrier I could go on, but all of the perks if setup right and used right, are hard to beat

Having two supression grenades makes up for it as you cancel most other supers with a throw. I ran with armamentarium and it did the trick. So great to go into most encounters not worried about the enemy supers, at least initially.

1 AntwortenNo but they can take the long end of the golden penis

Lol check recent iron banner games on my Titan, 100% defender. It's good if you know how to use it. My friend GREENHELLNITE main defender for everything and carries people to lighthouse

7 AntwortenWell, youd be surprised how many idiots just HAVE to come and challenge you in your bubble. I stand there, shotgun at the ready, they think about it, I watch, they take a step, I watch, they dive in BLAM! easy kill! Its crazy how people cant resist coming into a place where they have a massive disadvantage. So long as you are faster, you will humiliate people with that. And if they DONT come in, you can peek out and tag them with a magnetic grenade and really make them feel stupid. Basically, you need a super, a special ability, or SOMETHING to give you the advantage if you enter a titan bubble. Its more powerful than you think. Its like trolling... hehe

I don't even have a titan and i know you are right. However, i also know that defenders are tresures to have with you in a raid or any difficult pve activity. I guess you win some and you lose some.

2 AntwortenIt gets my jollys off to throw a vortex grenade inside titan bubbles

3 AntwortenAlso, 3 nightstalker shots burst a bubble.

2 AntwortenIf you look at one of the first gameplay trailers for Destiny you can see a titan popping a bubble and it's following him.

3 AntwortenBecause it wasn't really built for PvP. Not everything in this game is. Defender is supposed to be support against bosses or large amounts of adds, not much of it is built for PvP.
