Aim asist in snipers is broken
And this is not a rant... But damn either everyone magically became amazing at sniping or the aim asist in snipers is seriously broken.... Either that or the flinching will aiming should be fixed because if I'm shooting at an opponent and he/ she can aim and headshot me while I'm connecting hits its pretty impressive... But when it starts happening every time it seams broken... Any ideas tips or suggestions are welcome ... And honestly I'm not ranting I'm just putting my opinion I'd like to keep the topic without people being rude.

The problem is that people are confusing things that happen that feel like AA as aim assist. AA has two elements: Reticle slow down, which is strong on snipers Hit box increase (bullet magnetism), which is weak People expect that there is a "What I see is what you see" element to the game. Unfortunately, this isn't true. Everyone is running in their own solipsism, and the computer is trying to adjudicate whose reality is more true. This is why you get shot through walls, your solipsism wasn't true enough. It is also why bullets disappear. This goes further with the crazy shots where the sniper is moving (jump snipe), enemies moving. The program is trying to figure out who is doing what where when - and it is never a great idea for a computer to think. The last two are not AA, and changing AA won't alter these. The third may be mitigated more by better net code.

I hate it the most when aiming in and looking across the map as a random enemy runs from the side into your scope and your whole scope starts to drift on its own. You will either: 1. Have your gun sift for no reason because the enemy is behind cover 2. Follow the aim assist and shoot them 3. Follow aim assist and pull of a head shot 4. Get sniped since you lost your target 5. Just lost aim and still kicking All I do is aim around someone and the gun drifts towards them... Where is the skill for snipng

MOST of you, don't seem to understand how aim assist works in this game. And before you be the asshole that comments "I already knew this fgt" no you didn't. I can guarantee you very few people will admit that I'm right. From most of these posts people are acting like the sniper is aiming for the people handling it, or it's helping the marker move to the head. Or it's helping the bullets curve into the head. That isn't what's happening. In most cases with snipers (basically all of them) the sniper scope just slows down as you scroll past your target with your scope zoomed in. That's all it does. Slows it down. Now I'm not saying that it is useless and doesn't help, it most certainly does. But it doesn't impact the sniper as much as you guys are making it out to believe. The only 2 snipers that are "broken" are the defiance of Yasmin and the 1000 - yard stare WITH hidden hand.

You only notice it more because when the shotgun nerf came people started using snipers to get used to them. Inow actually love sniping I use 1k stare on worlock and stillpiercer on huntet (still use shotty on titan) got valled a noob for using stillpiercer this iron banner though lol

Just more and more ppl are figuring out how to use them. Most snipers are just hard scopers anyways. They just sit and wait for you to walk where they're already aiming. That's not really hard to do once you know the map. Pull out a sniper of your own and snipe them back. 9 out of 10 of them won't get into a sniper challenge. They can only snipe when no one is expecting it.

They can res snipe, kill supers, cripple on bodyshot, and for what downside? The rate of fire is still pretty high and the aim assist isn't even lower. If it was more of a trade off I would like them more but as it stands there is clearly a superior breed of sniper rifle.

2 AntwortenDude I can't say anything on aa but they have some pretty large hit boxes. Whenever I go for a headshot I actually have to hit above their head. Its really weird

1 AntwortenFlinch, when you're shooting someone head on the scope bounces up. The player only needs to aim down and pull the trigger. If they get lucky the scope will be on the head as they pull the trigger. It's luck, I've done it before. It's not aim assist.

1 AntwortenThe aim assist isn't even as good as it was last year. HoW? Remember 'Her Benevolence' and 'LDR 5001' and 'Shadow of Veils'? They ALL had higher aim assist than present snipers.

Aim assist is fine. Me people are using snipers because of the shotgun nerf and people are justifying their deaths with, "ermergerd! Erm erserst ers berken!"
