I am a vanilla destiny player. My very first exotic was the mida. At the time I heard so many people say things like "its ok its not a bad gun". I loved it and used it all the time. As far as I can tell it had a small following in year 1 but it was never called OP or anything like that, from what I can remember. Anyway when I heard a year 2 was coming I was very excited. Now though using the mida seems to be as bad as using thorn was. I really dont understand why. Did they change anything for year 2? It seems to be the same gun. If it was changed in anyway I cant tell.the difference. Did the stats get changed in anyway? Im just not sure where the year 2 mida hate is coming from.

3 AntwortenIt's impressive fire rate matched with the (I believe) buff to base damage has made it a little over balanced. Year one it was a fair and good gun. It just needs some tweaking for year two.
-
It's good and all, but I would like to make a few changes. Make fire rate a sliver slower or faster - make its own archetype of scout rifle that only it can fit into (noticeable) Make it legendary - the only special thing about it is the hair trigger, which doesn't really do anything noticeable and it doesn't deserve an exotic slot even though it is good If not the second, make it look and sound more unique. If the compass and the slightly changed camo are the only unique things, then if I didn't know what it was, I would call it a rare scout rifle. The Fang of Ir Yut looks 10x better, and it's legendary, so they could definitely try a bit harder. Sorry if you don't like my recommendations. They won't change the Mida with them anyways, since the devs don't really listen to the small ideas and question us if they should change something much.

You and my son he only uses mida and trust me he will get Double your kills Mida has almost the range of a sniper A true sniper will get a mida player but a true mida hunter with eao your good to land 1 body shot The mida super scrub will hit you with 2 shots to your one sniper and then it it's true 1v1 at that point and My $ is on the mida When I get hit by a mida I dodge the other way fast sat My titan legs can run

Everyone that sucks on pvp

2 AntwortenI don't know but whenever i see a nerf mida post i type a wild bitch has appeared as i turn my limited edition ash ketchum snapback around and yell go pokeball.
-
It the overuse at the moment. It's gonna go down once people realize that it doesn't automatically kill for you...
-
Honestly, the MIDA is too inaccurate for me.
-
Its because all the other guns were made complete garbage. Worst meta so far. Mida is fine though. They just need to fix the other shit.
-
Because every other weapon type has been nerfed what was a decent gun to use in year one is now one of the best because it is one of the only guns that haven't been touched by the nerf reaper.
-
Many people are using a mediocre weapon, that's all...
-
14 AntwortenIt's coming from the fact that it is considered" one of the three". Mida, Thorn, and Last word. None of these should be considered "overpowered" but they are the strongest when it comes to crucible.
-
4 AntwortenI got one shotted from range with a Mida at full health and shield, I had to replay the footage because i didn't believe it. Mida was my first exotic and favourite for the whole of the first two expansions so it's bittersweet for me. I had a 280 but broke it down, God knows why but I like to use the newer guns for a bit of variety

1 AntwortenRight now in iron banner multi used more then any other weapon by a wide margin. 14.38 percent of people use mida compared to 4.xx percent people using. Last word. Many times all 5 of my team mates will be using mida. That's were all the hate comes from. To me and I bet stats would reflect it. No meta has ever had such a drastic constant when it comes to primaries

People Who Cant Play Worth A Damm
-
Cause when people in destiny get killed by a weapon so often they call it OP, therefore nerf
-
It certainly was ok in year 1, but as they have nerves everything else, mida is deemed "op" now. It is not op. It is good, but you can win with any other weapon. I've outgunned a mida with suros regime outside of suros' effective range, and more in Midas range. So it is not op
-
1 AntwortenIt's coming from whining snipers.
-
Think it felt world's better in year one. I haven't really been liking the year 2 version. But maybe it's cause it's only 295ish
-
One word: snipers It hasn't changed since y1
-
I don't know why people are having a cry. Red death, bad juju, last word can all out shot a mida just depends what your used to. It definitely doesn't need to be Nerfed then it would become unusable like no one did in year 1.
-
They need to buff other weapons, not nerf mida. We all know it's going to get nerfed though. Why? Because Bungie will see that it's being used a lot, and that means it must be over powered right? So stupid
-
It's the most balanced gun. Anyone who complains about it is definitely getting destroyed by it because they can't use it themselves or don't know how to counter it.
-
1 AntwortenIt's op now because everything else is nerfed to the ground so it was a good gun but it is the only good one left
-
2 AntwortenIt's extremely overused, that's the problem

Its been great to read everyones different feelings on the.subject. One post about losing all the great year one weapons really works. I have not found any year 2 weapons that match the best year 1 weapons in cool, fun to use or power factors. That could be why the great year1 guns that are coming back like mida or tlw seem to dominate more then they did in year 1.

1 AntwortenIt's bc in year one we had weapons like ice breaker, gjallarhorn, thorn, fatebringer, (pre-nerf) Vex. Now without all those awesome guns mida is one of the year one weapons like TLW that remain in their glorious form. Weapons from Y2 are nerfed and pre released with crappy stats and perks to cater to the pvp nerf cry babies thus ruining the entire pve/pvp arsenal available to anyone. They removed all the awesome fun weapons to level the playing field for casuals and the plain out children who cry about getting killed over and over again bc they charge at a player expecting to get an easy kill like in COD.... So there's your answer. Mida has always been good, just didn't find out till all the other awesome weapons were removed from the Y2 arsenal.
