Aren't we down to only a few guns Again
Interesting, I am down to only a few guns ... and I like them less than the year 1 variety. What about you?
I find I mostly use:
- Hung Jury
- Touch of Malice
- Thousand Yard Stare
- Black Spindle
- Raid Rocket Launcher or Machine Gun
Don't you really just need these 5 or 6 weapons.
Man, I prefer the older weapons. The best weapons were Year 1:
Edit 1: While Year 2 has some great weapons, Year 2 doesn't beat this group! And Bungie, through infusion, forces you to decide on the few you can level up.
Primary: VoC, Vex, Mida, Fate, Fang, TLW, Three Little Words, Rapier, Hopscotch, Oversoul, The Red Hand, The Devil You Know, Thorn, etc.
Secondary: Ice, Hammer, Lord of the Wolves, Verdict, LDR, Plug One, Prudence, Patience & Time, Iron Banner Sniper and Shotgun, etc.
Heavy: Gally, Thunderlord, Truth

for the raid I use the Mida Eriene Raid machine gun Or Ludmydia Black spindle Raid machine gun For all other content I will use different guns based on my mood. It's not about the best gun but which one is more fun at the moment. In Pvp being top of leader board doesn't matter. Have fun.

2 AntwortenHonestly I miss raid primary weapons that weren't garbage. Now the only incentive to raid is to hope for high level primary weapons to infuse into my vendor/gunsmith weapons. There isn't a single raid primary that you can't find a vendor version that not only performs better but also is far easier to get.

Bungie has to understand that people endlessly optimize in this game. Sure, it'd bring variety to use vendor auto rifles, and we can do that, but in high level PvE content and PvP, none of that will be as good as Hung Jury or Hawksaw or Last Word. It's just a mix of people being competitive, the content being repetitive and leading people to want to get the activities done faster, and a general and slightly disappointing regard by some people towards this game as work.

I didn't buy the vender hung jury though, so I just use whatever my highest light primary is at the time, or TOM depending on the encounter. For lower level PVE content though, I almost always use an exotic sword or telesto.

1 AntwortenPeople are trying to counter your argument with PVP load outs. Problem is the people using this argument aren't that great at Pvp - the good pvp'ers all use a small handful of weapons regardless of map. This supporting your claim. Same goes with the raid and most NF's as people only run short list loadouts. Same as year 1 only with absolutely crap weaponry that doesn't make you feel like a badass as we did in year 1. Remember rainbow damage night falls where all your elemental weapons were 300% damage increase, those made you feel like you were unstoppable and was fun for the weekly Nightfall. Now we are left with bullet hoses and bullet sponge bosses.. Boring!

3 AntwortenHere's some mind blowing information that even the devs can't understand. When you have a game that has weapon variety i.e. perks, elemental dmg, arcehtypes, etc you are ALWAYS, let me repeat myself, [b]ALWAYS[/b] going to have superior loadouts. When you try to remove that from happening, you are destroying it's natural balance. Second thing I'd like to add, YOU chose your own weapon loadouts. I had FB, VoC, BH, Ghorn, the whole nine. [u]I[/u] chose when to change up my loadouts when I got bored. Sometimes I would run without elemental primaries and not use a typical set up. No one held a gun to my head and forced me to use specific weapon loadouts. I find myself running the same pve guns without changing them up even MORE now. Because without elemental dmg being available on primaries, I want to make sure I'm still getting the most dps out as possible. Which means I'm running my Jury 99% of the time. I didn't even use elemental primaries as much as I use my damn Jury now. The fact that one primary still has elemental dmg makes absolutely no sense what so ever. Especially since it's a subpar primary. To me anyways. I have yet to hear a good and logical defense on why removing elemental primaries from the game was a good idea. Keep in mind that the only time they were the most useful was during NF's with elemental burns. Would it have been so hard to just remove elemental burns as a whole from NF's ? I don't get it. More than anything, I don't get why the community backs that logic.

5 AntwortenTTK features more diversity than I've ever seen. What did we use in the past? Fatebringer/VoC as a primary, Icebreaker/Black Hammer as a secondary, and Gjallarhorn as the end-all weapon. They were super fun weapons, but now we can use [i]just about[/i] anything.

Year 1 player, have lost all trust in Bungie but still enjoy the game. I get you miss year one guns, they are still great, but I have grabbed some new ones that are awesome. Just don't get attached because Bungie nerfs according to how they get rekt in house, they have no bloody idea or even care about the gaming community as a whole.

1 AntwortenIt's funny becUse everyone is naming these guns to use like oooo mida, Monte Carlo, hard light etc. however these were good to use in raids in year 1 too so I don't see how saying they can be used now is proving anything against the fact that the weapon variety this year is shit. I know there amazing weapons but they were also amazing weapon back in year 1. Only problem is even though they are really fun to use and there are a lot of guns you can use most people are going to use guns such as hung jury smite of Mersin because they have more admirable perks to PVE. This post is not saying there aren't a lot of guns to use. It's simply saying because there are certain guns that are easy to acquire with way better stats and perks it's obvious that there going to be used more. Whereas year 1 yes you had fatebringer but you had vision which was amazing you had Saturday night rapist (saterienne rapier) you had ice breaker, word of crota, found verdict, pradyth timepiece and that's only a handful. The point is it's not there aren't a lot of guns that are useable it's that only a small portion of the player base is actually going to use these weapons because they themselves know that they find it boring to use he same gun all the time and then the players that aren't like this don't have a great variety to choose from because there are only a couple of weapons that are dominant in PvE.

PVP I rotate between hawksaw, pdx-45, Suros DIS-43, TLW, Hardlight, Zarinea-D, Mida, NTTE, and Paleocontact, and Tlaloc. PVE I use Smite of Merain, NTTE, Finallas Peril, Ace of Spades, MIDA, DIS-43, Tlaloc. Actually, I switch primaries constantly.

Most of them are pointless to use due to how slow their velocity is now. Point is year 1 weapons dwarf year 2 in every aspect, there is nothing from year 2 I would put in front of Fatebringer, Praedyth's Revenge/Black Hammer or Gjallarhorn, not because they were so powerful but because they were fun guns to use, they felt fun to use, swords come close for year 2 but not even those beat the Gjallarhorn for fun.

You took the words straight outa my mouth man. I've been saying this for so long now. Bungie said they took out elemental to add variety yet Yep as you say hung jury is like it maybe the raid pulse but what's the point in that when hung jury is so much more accurate. They took away Gjallarhorn because it just shredded bosses so was replaced by the black spindle. I really really really -blam!-ing miss year 1 and I wish we could go back
