4 AntwortenBearbeitet von The Cellar Door: 12/27/2015 7:34:56 AMKanye West. To preclude any hate, I posit this: the level of commercial success, critical acclaim, diversification, and sonic influence that Kanye has consistently had with Hip-Hop and music in general is comparable to that of the Beatles in a similar timespan. Over the past 11 years, Kanye has released 7 solo albums, all of which have gone platinum, all of which received critical acclaim, all of which have been distinctly different sonically and lyrically, all of which featured stylistic directions in which music released after them has contoured to, all the while netting 21 Grammy's and amounting to one of the highest amounts of digital downloads of any musical artist. Whether you like/dislike his music, or him as a person, that comparison and these accomplishments are undeniable.

Most new rappers nowadays can't spit for shit, they only talk about getting money and f*cking girls. The best rappers are all from the 80s and 90s: Tupac, Eminem, Biggie, Big L, Nas, Rakim, just to name a minor few. Back then, rap was a story portrayed in a musical format, not this bullsh*t we call rap today. When rapping changed from talking about how poor you are to how rich you are, the game became completely ruined. People like "Young Thug" give rap a bad perception, and unfortunately because of idiots like him true, real rap is in severe decline. Kind of went into a little rant there, but my favourite rappers are primarily Eminem, Tupac and Biggie.
