Using the meta builds doesn't make you good.
Why is it that no matter what's done to the weapons and classes these kids always go find the top preforming load out and use it as a crutch untill it's complained about enough to be nerfed ?
If you currently are using mida and 1000yard/ conspiracy
Quillims termis/prox launcher .
Then you are trash. I can field any gun in this game and stand my own . Why can't everyone else. ? Why must everyone run the same load out to try and get the best chances to play well ? That shows zero skill or play style. Be og

Well, the MIDA is an old favorite of mine. I'll use it for awhile. I think my pride can handle you thinking I'm a "scrub". I actually prefer fusion rifles, over snipers though. So I guess I'm only half a scrub?

The main reason I run the weapons I do is simple, they are my highest light guns. Also I like the load out. Also mida was my primary in year 1, it's about time the year 2 version came out and now I can rock again. Check my grimorie for the mida if you don't believe me or look at my year 1 trailer video here: https://youtu.be/SwhcjIlEFO0 I am not using the load out because it's a crutch, it's because it suits my play style, sorry you feel I'm a scrub. Also I don't PvP much and generally only do it during iron banner.

Using the meta loadouts doesn't mean you are good or bad. I'm sure both good and bad players use cookie cutter loadouts...just like both good and bad players don't use them.

Quillims is just common, that is why is gets used a lot. Not because it's OP. In fact I have the trials machine gun and the iron banner one, both are the same archetype as quillims. The other two, with the right roll, would be more OP than quillims. They typically have better range. All of them are the same archetype as BTRD or The Swarm, back in year one.

Couple of things. 1. I'll use whatever guns I want. I don't care what you think. 2. I don't care about being "good" in your eyes, or anyone else's really. Destiny is a game. I play it to have fun. The most toxic people on these forums are the people that don't play for fun. You, for example.

Cookie cutter builds are used because cookie cutter builds work well and usually perform the best. Regardless of skill, you're giving everyone else a handicap that uses those builds each time your misplaced sense of pride forces you to use a different weapon loadout. It's not a bad thing to either use or not use the same build as everyone else, the choice is entirely based on opinion. Guess what? Opinions only matter to those who share them. You do you, they'll do them. Leave it at that and just play the game. If you're so good and don't need the cookie cutter build to win, why are you complaining about the cookie cutter build?

I just use what's most fun. For me right now, that's hardlight or zhalo, my raid FR, and sword. I don't give a -blam!- what the meta is.

Terminus isn't that great stat wise. Its just fun to you and shoots very smoothly.

Players aren't going to intentionally handicap themselves by not using the best gear available, just for the sake of them being cheap.
