You clearly don't

DPS Is the average damage per second over the entire magazine and reserves, fired as fast as possible, so it takes how long it takes to fire all the bullets and the total damage and averages the two out and you get the DPS, now the difference between it and DoT is DoT takes into account only the total damage after firing every bullet

Bearbeitet von Are You Okay: 12/26/2015 11:33:03 PMThis is incorrect. DPS is taken very literal at face value. It is a term coined in MMOs where we are talking mostly swords and spells so to attach a term like magazine to it is silly. If you want to talk about DoT you say DoT.

"Damage per shot" right?

Damage Per Second Idiot

Couldn't just correct him without calling him am idiot?
-
What do you think 1000 yard or black spindle
-
There's no thinking about it. DPS mean damage per second. In one second they can both get 1 bullet off and spindle has higher impact. It is a fact that Spindle has more damage per second.
-
You can also derive DPS by Total Damage/Time in which spindle wins again as it doesn't have to reload. I assume this whole debate assumes optimal conditions.
-
You are one of the few people who understands here. You need to have the variable if you want to talk about the two guns over a period of time.
-
It's not too difficult of a concept I don't understand why so many don't get it
-
It's true spindle has better dps but your explanation is inaccurate. It is due to not having to reload that puts it there. 1k hs 4 shots spindle has 3 if you have to reload spindle the 1k begins to surpass it because of the extra shot.
-
Wrong BS has higher impact so it does more damage regardless in fact 3 crit shots with BS disregarding the white nail perk does more damage than 4 crit shots with 1k stare.
-
I'm sorry that you didn't read damage per second is dps if you miss 1 critical with bs then you have a slow reload giving the advantage to 1k. I'm not saying 1k is better I every way it's just going to average out to be stronger if you can't hit all your crits. 1k 3 crits and 1 regular will eventually out dps bs 2 crits 1 regular. Just because of the reload speeds. If both are critting bs wins, if both miss one critical then 1k wins due to reloading.
-
That's assuming I miss I could say the same to you on that.
-
I think you misunderstood my post. Basically I'm just saying if both rifles have to reload (that means bs doesn't get a critical shot and to be fair i removed one critical shot from 1k) the 1k wins the damage per second. If a person continues to proc bs perk the bs will win the damage per second.

You're right
