I tend to boot people under 4k for HM oryx. Is this wrong or not? Do you guys think grimoire corrolates to skill? Explain in comments
Edit 1: this post is about oryx, not trials. Stop posting about my .9 kd

1 AntwortenIf they suck no. If you don't give them a chance to show you if they suck or not, yes.

Bearbeitet von WTFisTrue: 12/29/2015 12:34:52 AMI have under 4K Grimoire but I've beaten hard mode Oryx(multiple times) and also Challenge mode Oryx.
-
I do not know, depending on the activity I can deal with under 4k grimoire (under 3k is unacceptable however) players. Booting under 315 light is ridiculous unless you are doing the Oryx or Golgoroth challenge.
-
With a statement like that I'd have though you would have max grimoire......
-
Kinda, I inly started ttk like 2 days ago and I have 3800, but if you're the host its your decision anyway.
-
1 AntwortenKicking people for having under 4k grimoire is seriously pathetic. Now kicking someone for being shite is perfectly reasonable.
-
Grimoire = time. Time =/= skill. Thus, Grimoire =/= skill.
Time = Money Money = Power Power = Corruption Corruption = Evil Evil = Grimoire
Bearbeitet von Zeeznutz: 12/29/2015 12:05:11 AMIt's ok to kick whoever you want. I kicked a 318 this week cause he sucked and need carried thru everything. He was 318 and never beat oryx, beat Golgoth 3 times and was using hawksaw on sisters because he can't get ToM. I'll kick you for laughing out of turn. DILIGAF?

My grimoire is 3800 and my max light is 318 almost 319

2 AntwortenWhen you have all 3 of your characters to the point to that they are doing Oryx HM and the subclasses are actually fully levelled up, which none of them are now, then come back on here and talk smack.

1 AntwortenYou're a dick and on top you wanna brag about it? This community sucks

I kick squeakers

Bearbeitet von ethan: 12/28/2015 11:52:19 PMI would kick you for not being 315+
-
2 AntwortenI kick people for talking too much, so I think you're fine. It's not like they won't go join one of the other hundreds of people trying to do the same thing.
-
That's perfectly fine

Yesterday I tried doing oryx on hard with an LFG group. I max out at 307 light and all of them were 311+. However we didn't beat him (typical of every team I join), and it was 100% not my fault. I know every strat, and executed my role perfectly, only died once out of every try due to the ship. Everyone else except the Titan in mid died 3+ times. I think just give people a chance first before just kicking them for their initial rating
-
While it may show some more skill, its mostly experience, and I've played with a handful of really good players with ~3700 grimoire.
-
4 AntwortenGrimoire doesn't show skill, it does show experience though. I suppose you wouldn't have to kick them in the first place if you asked for higher grimoire in the first place. ~TheGreatNike

9 AntwortenBoot people for whatever reason you want, if it's your party. I think Light level is more important than Grimoire though. A 320 with 2k grimoire in my opinion, has a better chance of being useful in a raid than a 4600 grimoire and 290 light.
-
I am under 4000 and have beaten hard mode
-
Grimoire is stupid. I have low grimoire but I've been here since Vanilla. I don't enjoy PvP that much. My KD reflects that. I enjoy the raids. Less and less tho with each DLC. At least KF is fun like VOG. Crota was pulling teeth and Skolas was annoying
-
Personally, I think you're a dick. If you've done a fresh raid up to oryx you know how good someone is. You wouldn't go to a football game, watch someone play then decide whether or not they made the team by what car they drove to the game in.
-
It's your fire team. Grow a pair and run it the way you want.
-
1 AntwortenI have 4k Grimoire, but that's because I wanted to know the story if the world. Truth be told, I started playing destiny a week before TTK dropped... I've never done the VoG (although, I need to for ntte soon...), my first raid was kings fall, and I suck at pvp (although, I find it fun despite my negative kd) I don't think grimoire denotes skill, but it does signify dedication. So, while it probably means someone will stick with a less than stellar group struggling with the raid, it doesn't necessarily mean they are a great player.
-
1 AntwortenGrimoire shows time not skill. It does not take skill to watch a video and get ghosts. It does not take skill to kill a thousand dregs. It takes time to get grimoire. Light level also takes time and some luck. Even an unskilled player can get through HM Oryx, but if you are not lucky with drops your light level does not go up. It is your group so you can kick for whatever reason you want, but stop mistaking time spent playing for skill.

But your pve raid kd is just as bad. You seem like a liability in a raid if your sub 10% on one char.
