Why don't more people use swords in crucible?
I've heard people say they are mostly good for PvE but damn... It seems like I always get 4-5 kills with mine if I'm able to get the heavy ammo
It's basically blade dancer special for any class. I spend ammo to lunge closer and closer to the enemy which by doing so usually makes them miss me and I slice people. You can even support your team mates following you by holding L2 as you advance down a corridor blocking the enemies shots.
Use swords man... They are a lot of fun.
Edit: based on how bad everyone seems to think they are from the comments I guess I'm just gonna continue to get good with them in preparation for their inevitable buff :D

I use them a ton. Check out my YouTube channel. TranscendedSSJ. I have a sword playlist. I think they will be hurt by the loss of the second shadestep and garrison burst in this update. I think swords all should grant the wielder increased agility since all subclasses don't have blink/shadestep or a way to close distance. But swords are the only heavies I use in PvP. For the fun of it mostly. I'd get more kills with an against all odds, or more sure kills with a truth, but I only want sword kills nowadays, and they are easy to get.

Love swords in crucible! For Osiris, I use a rocket launcher though.

2 AntwortenThey're fun, and I actually use a Legendary sword in the Crucible, but consider that you can get shut down by any asshole with a shotgun. Since your weapon is also close range, you're more likely to encounter it. Also, you have swing time. Shotguns don't.

Machine is 10+kill rockets is easily 4+ with less risk.

Swords are awesome, but if someone with a rocket comes along, you've got no chance.

1 AntwortenThe only time I worry about swords is when I come around a corner and they are right there! Other than that lmg seems to handle them fine. Most of the time I see people with them I think they forget they can block lol.

1 AntwortenSword actually takes talent. And usually if people are gonna use a sword, it's gonna be an exotic sword and that means that ur exotic slot will be taken up.
