In terms of DPS, what does better?

1 AntwortenBS will always win unless you have the god roll like I have with triple tap and casket mag on a 1kys. Then the 1k will get about the same or more if you have ammo reload gaunlets or the raid armor aura buff

If you have triple tap and fast reload in an aura gauntlets 1k stare can fire 36 times and severely out damage the spindle.

Ok I will test this theory. I have "that" roll on my 1k stare. Spec my hunter and I will try it after work.

Only way the 1k yard stare wins is with the right perks. So you'll have to be incredibly lucky. Otherwise Spindle all day every day.

21 AntwortenDps, black spindle wins by far but say for use on warpriest, if you have a good aura runner and can usually get off all sniper ammo, then a thousand yard stare with triple tap and casket mag does more overall damage. It makes 5 in the clip from casket mag, then the triple tap makes it 7 with all crits, and with 24 reserve ammo before the triple tap that does more then spindles 23

No it doesn't. My buddy and I tested this. Both overall 315 light. He had spindle and j went with 1k stare and sleeper both 316. The closest I came to doing the same amount of damage was still 500k less than spindle. And that's without missing any shots. Yeah sleeper is great but you have to consider the time it takes to reload and the time it takes to charge up to shoot. Plus the time it takes to switch weapons. While you're doing that spindle is still unloading. It's DAMAGE PER SECOND people.

9 AntwortenBearbeitet von Piggyback: 12/26/2015 6:52:24 PMA god roll 1k ys could out damage a spindle. I wouldn't know for sure. Triple tap, extended mag, spray and play. Plus aura reload and sniper reload gloves. From a less technical perspective, aim assist will help a lot with the 1K and it's also less punishing if you miss a shot than with the Spindle. So it's certainly easier and more reliable. Otherwise, at least it frees up your exotic slot, so a 1k ys + Sleeper combo may have a higher DPS than Spindle + Qullim's combo.

7 AntwortenDepends on the boss.... Raid bosses I'd go with the spindle but strike bosses the dont sit still negate the precision hit perks of the spindle. I don't use the 1000 yard stare at all. I've always liked the eirine better. You get bonus damage on on crit out of four... And I found in the raid the 1000 yard states I had wouldn't one shot boomer Knights at totems or the light eater Knights at oryx. The eirine will. It's all preference.

4 AntwortenSome would lean to the 1000 because it holds a couple more rounds, but in the raid when moments of DPS are timed, never reloading=constant dps. In the time it reloads I've already gone through 3 more shots. Your not gonna catch up with that buddy.

Black spindle because it can automatically reload for you, i believe it has a faster fire-rate and higher crit. Damage

12 AntwortenDuring a regular boss fight, spindle for sure. But during warpriest, the 1KS for sure. I have mine with spray and play and guantlets that increase reload speed for Snipers in the aura. So considering I can carry for ammo for 1KS than spindle, I can do more damage in the same amount of time considering the insane reload speed.

3 AntwortenMine has Longview Triple tap Casket mag 5 rounds Unflinching I can get 7 rounds per mag which can give me 30 ish total shots, not sure but I think that's more than BS

6 AntwortenAssuming both weapons are at identical light levels and are consistently landing all shots as crits, Black Spindle does more damage per second, easily. There are, however, many factors that affect the potential of each weapon, such as Reload speed, ammo capacity, maximum ammo, and the amount of time in each DPS check. If Black Spindle misses a shot for any reason, be it poor aim, enemy movement, or even lag, the gun will require you to reload within the next 2 shots. A sniper with more shots per magazine would begin to surpass its DPS. In a perfect world, you would want everyone to have Black Spindle. But raid runs are not perfect and during times of imperfection, Black Spindle is actually a disadvantage. My point is this. As long as the person is consistently helping the team, regardless of the weapon being used, be happy. Don't argue over frivolous crap.

Black spindle does, but i use touch of malice with 1000 ys, and switch back and forth between the two when my health gets low, i usually do more dps that way on warpriest, but on golgeroth i use my spindle

As you reload, the instant you see the number of shots change, swap to NLB and reload cancel shoot until 1 bullet remaining, reload, and swap back to 1000 yd. Make sure snapshot is equipped for swap speed. GG [spoiler]for the average muppet, there is not a big enough difference between snipe dps to matter. If your going for a WR use spindle bc of consistency[/spoiler]
