In terms of DPS, what does better?

4 AntwortenVoted for Black Spindle, but with the right perks 1KYS can definitely beat it by a fair margin. Perfect DPS roll would be Triple Tap, Casket Mag, and Spray and Play. I don't think anything could beat that.

Black Spindle, if you are hitting all precision shots and don't have to reload. If not, depending on the perks of the 1k yard (speed reload perks, larger mag) it may win. But normally, in the right conditions, Black Spindle wins easily.

Spindle is a boss killer but has poor performance against adds. 1000yd is the better overall choice for versatility. Good vs bosses and adds. Spindle is great vs bosses but bad vs adds. I miss my 6 round field scout spear. Slays bosses and adds.

I would think it would be Spindle, since it self-reloads if you land thee precision shots.

In a vacuum, Black Spindle does most damage. With how most things go, 1kys is more useful overall. 1kys is pretty much a year 2 ldr 5001, part of the reason why so many people like it is because it feels very familiar.

I use black spindle and a machine gun. Not to sound cocky but I'm always in top 3 for dps

20 AntwortenFrom the comments I have read and the 90% / 10% poll, everybody has assumed were fighting golgoroth or some other enemy with an obvious crit spot? The thousand yard stare can hold more ammo and most importantly has more ammo in the mag. When oryx opens his chest for example... Which one of these guns is doing more dps? How about against a group of praetorians? Or in the hands of a mediocre sniper against a load of goblins? You have all just assumed he means on golgoroth.

3 AntwortenYou do know what DPS means, do you? Are you aware that, with critical hits, Black (insert name here), just keeps shooting. Until you run dry, it's a crit machine. All others must reload at some time. There is no comparison, hence the prefix 'Black', i.e. Lights Out. Now, let's pretend you already know that and add Satire tags to your post.

5 AntwortenBlack spindle does good damage, but someone running an equal level sleeper simulant and 1000 yard stare with triple tap can keep up with spindle. Seen it in the raid a few times, except for golgoroth...sleeper does crap damage on him for some reason.
