Playing destiny with guardians under 18
Does playing with guardians under 18 make you feel uncomfortable and why?
I'm old and when I get spammed at the tower and join, just to hear a little kid on the other side, I cringe and think would I feel comfortable letting my kid (who is under 18) communicate with an older person. The answer is Yes I would!(be uncomfortable)So I feel you have to be really careful on what you say and react to in a game that's rated teen when dealing with younger guardians! I tell them I got to go and enjoy the game!

I do not play with anyone under 18. It has nothing to do with their voices, maturity level, skills, or general prejudice against them. It's because I'm a 26 year old single male who lives alone, and having a friend list full of minors would be "questionable" and feels inappropriate. Ergo I play with people my own age to avoid the possibility of awkward situations that could occur by interacting online with minors.

Yeah it is a little uncomfortable. My clan is adult only. We joke, swear, drink and throw around inuendo. No kids needs to be around that. Glad to have the clan.

I once ran crota with a 60 year old man (I was 15 at the time) so damn funny, but at the same time kinda wierd. It was funny cause my other friend got scarred lol

It doesn't matter how old or young the player your jamming with as long u both are accomplishing you goals I understand what your concern r yes u need to teach your kids that their are weirdo's out there but there are some good people to in a father of 4 and 2 of them play the PS the best way to show your kids is to teach from example

It's not that I don't like playing with 30 year olds i just feel it as uncomfortable. Im good with the teens.

You cant discriminate against the people under the age of 18. The game is rated T. So you can't challenge that.

If I play with someone under the age of 18, then they're probably 17 years old. I don't enjoy playing with that age group and never really have. If I do then they are closer to the age of 18 and have a similar mentality. I also don't accept random invites or friend requests. Odds are if they're spamming me they are either young or annoying. [spoiler]when you spam my inbox with 10 back to back invites and i dont join, good chance im not joining[/spoiler]

Not really. I can play with high school kids for the most part. If you're mature I have no problem running raids with you

4 AntwortenSome of the best guardians I've played with are under 18. Some are under 13. I do try to avoid their party invites though..

I've met young people who are mature and old people who are immature. I'm only uncomfortable when people act stupid and obnoxious, which isn't always directly relative to age.

I thought I was the only one but don't get me wrong tho some of those kids are really good in crucible.
