I absolutely love Destiny, as soon as I could afford to buy it, i went all in and purchased the maps packs and legendary gear for my Xbox 360, I played the game most days and have gained a great deal on enjoyment from it.
It was my 47th birthday on the 18th December and my lovely wife bought me a new Xbox one, which I am of course thrilled about, that and the fact she included a copy of SW battle front, that aside, and browsing through, I realise that Destiny should cross over with out any issues, but low and behold, it seems that in order for me to play Destiny, I have to fork over at least another £55, for the privileges I have already paid for, now, before you say it is necessary because it is a different server or some such nonsense, it is not, because when I downloaded the trial version, ALL MY PROGRESS WAS SAVED ON YOUR SERVER! Including my recent ship purchase, can someone explain to me how this is fair and just, I paid to play less than three months ago, and because I am on a new console I have to pay again, TOTALLY UNFAIR!
I will wait 24hours for a response before I take my complaint to the consumer watchdog, and trading standards, this has to come under the "value for money" section.

Did everyone that play GTA V on 360 get a free copy of it when it upgraded to Xbox one?

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von MajorM3ss: 12/22/2015 4:23:33 PMOK, I just thought I would update this feed with some facts about the whole situation . A few people have stated that it is incompatibility that is the reason for Destiny TTK not being eligible for licence transfer from one console to another, and my argument with Bungie is that there is no difference in the network software between the 360 and the Xbox one. My first point is, if the versions are incompatible, why was ALL MY progress downloaded with the trial version that I downloaded to my one console. Secondly, and based on the first point, I also downloaded Titanfall to my one console, which was free, along with all the dlc including the season pass, now, if this content was the same as the content on my 360, when I logged into the game for the first time, all my content and progress from my 360 should have been loaded as well, IT WAS NOT! Proving the point that the content is NO DIFFERENT with Destiny, I had to log in as a new user, proving my point about the content being the same with Destiny but the content for Titanfall between the 360 and the one is different, proving this difference highlights my point about compatibility and network crossover between same family consoles. Point three is simple, there is a position here which is being unjustly enforced by Bungie, and I say to all you people out there drinking the Bungie cool aid, try to look at this rationally, justly and fairly .

6 AntwortenBearbeitet von Dinkus McGee: 12/21/2015 2:00:10 PMYou're mad because you have an entirely new console and it won't play the other consoles games? Stop it. It's a different machine. You say you're 47, but you are having a tantrum as though 10. The 360 is ten years old. It's a totally different machine. Have some common sense.

3 AntwortenHmmm i have to say it is what it is.... If maybe we could play ps3 games on the ps4 then i doubt they would make us pay again. its not the case. I was a big GTA5 fan and ranked level 130+ online, i stopped playing on the ps3 and decided to start again on the ps4. I did some research and yup you guessed it, went out to a pawn shop and bought a copy of GTA5 for the ps4 for 20$ to continue my enjoyment. I am sure you can buy a cheaper copy of the taken wallet on ebay or something.Or have your wife get you a copy for Xmas :D Cheers

2 AntwortenTTK will not upgrade for free to the Xbox One. TDB and HoW will using the Digital Upgrade Program. https://www.bungie.net/7_Destiny-The-Taken-King-is-not-eligible-for-the-Dig/en/Help/Article/12122 This promotion has been out for a while now.

1 AntwortenMy story is similar, though I've been playing longer . I feel ripped off but then that's what Bungie do anyway, so... By the way, you can get it cheaper tham £55 - try Argos.

2 AntwortenHello Majorm3ss First off congratulations on the new XBOX 1! Pretty awesome entertainment device. As for the issue with destiny. Unfortunately there are factors in play here. It's not just Bungie but deals with microsoft and sony that will allow for certain things to happen. Certain licenses to carry over certain ones not to. It is true that your character and equipment is saved on your respective console families servers however the licenses for the games and dlcs is a matter handled by microsoft/sony. It was almost unprecedented that Bungie was able to negotiate allowing the base game (if purchased before jan 15) to be able to carry over to next gen as well as the first years expansions. I remember when the switch from xbox original to 360 happened. I had just purchased Battlefield 2 and was in love with the game...then when 360 came out I had to repurchase battlefield 2 again for the 360. It's not an uncommon occurrence to have to do so. I know it is a bit frustrating but Bungie really was trying to help by getting sony/microsoft to allow the year 1 dlcs to transfer. I know from the consumer end it feels like a bit of a raw deal still but I hope this helps clarify and help understand a bit.

6 Antworten360 players play with 360 players PS3 play with other PS3 players Same for the one and ps4. The promotion did not transfer characters but made a copy on the other console. When TTK was released they stopped that so you would have to pick one console. You are getting angry because they decided to make it two different games. It's like if you played halo 4 on 360 then got the master chief collection then got angry because it didn't transfer your online rank. You have no case as Destiny the taken king and destiny year 1 are marked as two different games.

10 AntwortenBearbeitet von TonyPartridge30: 12/21/2015 2:00:31 PMAll licenses for Destiny you own are for the 360. 360 game licenses are incompatible with the Xbox One. This is why, for every other game than destiny, buying the 360 version doesn't give you the One version. This is standard practice. The only reason Destiny is different is because Bungie set up a promotional event during Destiny's launch to entice more people to buy Destiny. This promotion would allow buyers of Destiny and the first Expansion Pass to freely upgrade from previous gen to current gen. This promotion event was never meant to last forever, never meant to apply to everything in Destiny; in fact, count yourself lucky Bungie dos this at all, because no other game developer has done it. It is all in the fine print of Bungie's Terms of Service and the Digital Upgrade Program. They are not con artists. They made it clear that TTK would not upgrade, and that the upgrade program would eventually expire. You have no case against Bungie. Edit: you are right about your game data being stored on Bungie's servers. That is why you can access your characters from both 360 and One. But you only own the license to access Destiny TTK from the 360.

4 AntwortenCause bungie stated long before TTK was released it would not be part of the free upgrade promotion.

Bearbeitet von HUGAPUG84: 12/21/2015 1:52:24 PMYeah it's really stupid. The license and permissions for TTK do not transfer. I'm also sad my Blacksmith Shader will not transfer.
