Light level = experience
Experience = How much time invested
How much time invested = skill
Light level = skill
Let me phrase it again, say you have someone who is new to the game and low light. Who will win in a 1v1 situation in crucible? Him, or the guy with 310 light and has experience with the game.
Don't be ignorant, realize that light does equal skill in some aspects. If you disagree you are butt hurt or ignorant to the fact that lower lights are statistically worse than higher or less skill.
Also, those saying time spent =/= skill you're also wrong. Malcolm Gladwell, well known author said if you spend 10,000 hours doing something you become an expert.
Those saying he is a nobody is clueless.
Edit 2: A quarter of you are intelligent enough to try and make a response. And no, collecting ghosts and watching videos does not equal skill. Sorry.

Bearbeitet von Cosynner: 12/22/2015 11:14:53 PMInitial learning curve talent intersecting with experience (time devoted to X) is what equals skill. The initial learning curve for driving a car is said to be about 2 years. After which your skill potential dramatically tapers off. It's why there are bad drivers, despite people having years/decades of driving time. People can spend their entire lives cooking, it doesn't make them a chef. AKA, you can't fix stupid/bad habits

Bearbeitet von Ohhh54321: 12/22/2015 11:18:33 PMLight level doesn't mean skill. You could have been that one person that was dead the whole raid but got every single drop. You can be super skilled with a low light level This just means you have a life other than destiny And according to your moments of triumphs you haven't even completed year one content that's probably why you think your so skilled with your 2 warlocks lol
-
Light could mean a lot of things like you done the raid a butt load of times or a person got really luck drops;and yea go ahead put an 310 vs 260 it is not skill but the damage difference that would tell the outcome.

2 AntwortenIt's true I'm low light level and i suck.
-
OORRR you can be some completely new individual who got lucky with drops while being carried
-
What if ya start a new character? I get rekd by people using common weapons sometimes.

2 AntwortenMost crucible matches light level is disabled. My buddy just made his first titan. Has ran trials and the raid with me on his hunter and warlock many many many times. His titan is 298. I'd rather take him into the hard raid knowing he knows what to do then find some random who knows what to do but also knows how to die. Same with trials I'd rather take him in knowing he's good at crucible and we've gone flawless together multiple times then some random high light level that knows all the angles of a raid but is terrible at crucible. I'd also prefer a brand new 298 that's never ran hard mode that is a good player and can listen then some 315+ that has been carried through/dies a lot/blames others.

Only in PVP does that saying work.
-
Light level = rng You can be a year one beta player and have a low light level because good gear hasn't been dropping for you
-
Or light level = lucky drops
-
1 AntwortenDepends. Nothing is more aggravating then a 315+ player who says he only wants to be ad duty every checkpoint. Plenty of people try to get carried every week. Easy to spot them though, if they start dying at totems or screwing up the rotation that's a red flag for me and I can remove before he causes the rest of the raid to last a century.

>Has less than 100k Medal score >Doesn't have all 3 characters >Lectures us on skill >mfw

I've never done that raid, I gotten to 311 through trials so in some sense it kinda of does but in other it doesn't

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Bretto: 12/22/2015 9:35:40 PMI could put my 2 cents forward on the topic arguing that in this game skill is only comparative at best and the best you could hope for is to compare yourself against one other individual at a time to establish whether you are more skilled than they are but.................. after seeing your stats, it's obvious you're trolling and seeking attention.

LIGHT LEVEL = RNG RNG = NO SKILL
-
U could have been carried and blessed by RNG
-
4 AntwortenMy light level = barely 310 Your light level = 318 My ToO stats = OK, 2.0kd on one character You ToO stats = complete shit, 0.4 kd FOUND VERDICT: stick to killing dregs in patrol and don't squeak so much shit, scrub.
-
Time invested does not equal skill. Sorry but it doesn't. That makes your deductive reasoning illogical and a fallacy. Also drops are decided by RNG as oppose to your performance in the game. Light level = drops. Drops = RNG which has nothing to do with skill
-
I've carried my sister through normal and hard raids. Her RNG is insane. Still she has no idea how to grab gaze, relic run, or how to snipe and dps properly. She is higher in light than me. Not sure where you're getting at now? It must be her dedication and experience though. ;p

There was no RNG involved B. If everyone had the same skill cap

RNG does not equal luck. My friend is higher light but only got Destiny TTK 3 weeks ago, he's blessed by RNG, doesn't mean he is good.

Bearbeitet von redshirt4life: 12/22/2015 9:25:24 PM2 warlocks. 3440 grimoire 69,000 medal score Only two nodes complete for MoT. And you're saying that in spite of your clear lack of experience, your 317 light level makes you better than everyone else? *dies laughing* Edit: So, I just took a closer look at your stats. You're negative in every single crucible mode on both characters. Between the two, you have a 7.4 raid KDR. Either you don't kill anything, or you die every ten seconds. You have 18 raid completions. 17 of those are KF. You never once completed VoG. I particularly enjoyed your patrol KDR on your second warlock. How in the hell is that even possible? I could go on, but I think my point is made.

What if some one gets carried? Is someone who's carried through the raid and ends up 315+ more skilled than someone who runs the raids properly and participates and ends up 305-310? I admit that GENERALLY speaking that if your 315+ your more skilled than someone who's 310 but that's not always a 100% guarentee. It really comes down to playing with the person to find out if they truly know or if they were carried.

Sorry man. That has always been the case. People with more experienced can get smashed by skilled players with less experience. Why do high experienced people still have low KD?!
