Light level = experience
Experience = How much time invested
How much time invested = skill
Light level = skill
Let me phrase it again, say you have someone who is new to the game and low light. Who will win in a 1v1 situation in crucible? Him, or the guy with 310 light and has experience with the game.
Don't be ignorant, realize that light does equal skill in some aspects. If you disagree you are butt hurt or ignorant to the fact that lower lights are statistically worse than higher or less skill.
Also, those saying time spent =/= skill you're also wrong. Malcolm Gladwell, well known author said if you spend 10,000 hours doing something you become an expert.
Those saying he is a nobody is clueless.
Edit 2: A quarter of you are intelligent enough to try and make a response. And no, collecting ghosts and watching videos does not equal skill. Sorry.

Just because you do something often doesn't mean you do it well. ToO many variables. This game has no measure of skill. Only someone else could tell you you're good. Other than that, there's nothing.
-
I agree that light level = time invested. But not skill... Ran a raid earlier with 2 320's.... Clueless. Like in thee most ridiculous way. Then we get too oryx and there shouting "No Knight strat". Really.....
-
Sir I'm a 312 and I Rock a 1.27 kd on my hunter. I am by no means skilled. Light level doesn't equal skill at all. Its a stat number for your armor and weapons. Light level does keep record of how badass that last golden gun was, I do.
-
Bro in think someone that was new could beat u in crucible...
-
And here I was thinking you only got experience through time played. Stupid me it's the three numbers under your level, thanks guy.
-
I agree. But there are retain points where a 315 could be better than a 318 because of RNG in the raid. But for the most part, yes it does mean skill.
-
So what you're saying is that getting high light RNG drops = skill?
-
Skill=/=Skill
-
Hmmm.... I am sure many have already said what I thought after looking at your profile so I won't go there. I will give you credit though, your light is higher than mine and that means you have successfully completed the harder endgame content but still....
-
you have 18 total raid completion you basically don't have a right to talk about skill
-
Not quite. Time doesn't always equal skill. Especially in games where afkers are still rewarded with drops.
-
4 AntwortenLight is not experience. Just how much luck you have in rng drops and play time. People who think otherwise are elitist tryhards (no offence but could you give me some of that drop luck?) I've been here since beta and have more experience than most of the people on here. Every player that hit 30 before dark below can understand what I mean.
-
27 AntwortenSkill= precision kills for example. If I take a look at your weapon grimorie I see you have 30% with nearly every primary weapon. That means to me you aren't relyable. You can't hit the crit point. Even with scout riffles you have 30% precision kills. That's ridicoulus. I mean I wasn't the best but I have an average 60% with scouts. You can invest as much as time you want you wouldn't get better.
-
Lol not certain how to take this post Joke or not I've met a lot of people around 315 light level that play like 250s Maybe that's why some people set ridiculous standards for even just a normal run through KF

I think it can come down to two things tho. This is because you can get decent gear from never doin the raid but also from never doing crucible. Also skill can vary between crucible an raid. Which is why you can own 317's in trials cause they only raid and 310's could have no clue what to do in a raid if they get armour from the crucible

2 AntwortenYour argument isn't just stupid. It is also dumb.
-
Time invested doesn't equal skill....u can play all day and u can suck while u play all day
-
Has this kid been snorting reindeer shite?? Im barely average at this game and even i know its all about luck. If i got the 5 best raid players in the world to carry me through hard raid 3x a week, having all 3 charaters the same im pretty sure i would be a 319-320 Does that make me a better player Erm no you twat it makes me a light whoring b***h
-
Light level doesn't mean skill. Light level means you're lucky. (Prior to challenge mode that is.) You have to rely on luck to get gear that's better than what you currently have.
-
Light level doesn't equal skill, light level shows how much you play on a day to day basis. Get a life.
-
Here's an example. I'm an electrician. To get my journeyman licences I had to complete 9000 hours of field work. So let's say after I got my licence and completed another half years work I would have 10,000 hours. Yes I've learned enough to work safely and be productive on my own, but there was an apprentice who worked for the same company as me that probably only had 7000 hours but was probably just as capable as me. Because he just had a knack for it, and experience in other fields of work that benefitted his electrical work. Although I'm the "expert" he was my equal.
-
You failed to mention all gear is RNG. RNG= No skill but luck. How is it skill in IB when some that has done that raid and is 315+ as to where someone who hasn't may still be at 295-300 once again not skill just easier to kill the other person because of the light difference.
