Light level = experience
Experience = How much time invested
How much time invested = skill
Light level = skill
Let me phrase it again, say you have someone who is new to the game and low light. Who will win in a 1v1 situation in crucible? Him, or the guy with 310 light and has experience with the game.
Don't be ignorant, realize that light does equal skill in some aspects. If you disagree you are butt hurt or ignorant to the fact that lower lights are statistically worse than higher or less skill.
Also, those saying time spent =/= skill you're also wrong. Malcolm Gladwell, well known author said if you spend 10,000 hours doing something you become an expert.
Those saying he is a nobody is clueless.
Edit 2: A quarter of you are intelligent enough to try and make a response. And no, collecting ghosts and watching videos does not equal skill. Sorry.

No dude. -blam!- off. Its pure luck. Its grim score scrub!
-
During the Oryx challenge mode, I was in a group through lfg where a 318 was dying more often than a 307. So light level doesn't always = skill as you say.
-
I suck, play 99% solo, n have done everything the game offers from the beta onwards. I legit suck, game must be too easy
-
Sorry but there are a lot of fake 315's out there who got their gear by sparrow racing. Very obvious when you can't complete raid fights and they continue to wipe because they suck.
-
I joined a group most were 318 and they wanted to cheese the totems on hard and wiped many times because they died lol
-
2 AntwortenNo light level is bot skill. If you even play the raid you know how hard it can be to get drops you need to go higher. Challenge mode has also made it too easy to get high light gear. Right now there are alot of 318 light people that need to glitch totems on hard mode for example because otherwise they cant complete that cp, even tho its the easiest cp of the entire raid.
-
Light level =/= experience Case close. Light level really depends on the RNG drops from raids, trials, SRL, iron banner. Even you grind enough you might not guarantee one single 320(expect challenge mode 320s).
-
Some people get carried such as a fellow I use to play with ages ago and every time we would do the raid he knew very little of the mechanics of the bosses and just panicked. He was 315. Now everyone else on my team knew exactly what to do and were slightly lower or slightly higher.
-
2 AntwortenNope cause I've done 3 hard raida and probably have a higher light level than players who are better than me
-
3 AntwortenI did black spindle today twice, I had a better run with the group on lower light than the second group with higher light (raid gear). 1st group had 20 seconds left 2nd group had 5 seconds left In iron banner the guy at 280 light was the only person in my team aside from me who didn't get curb stomped by the enemy. I went 15-7, he went 12-8 Rest of the team... BTW they were all 310 plus. Planning, skill and teamwork will always prevail.

2 Antworten1st, Actually light lvl = how well the random number generator has treated you in the game and likely has nothing to with with experience or skill. One could run the normal or hard raid first time and and get all 310/320 gear respectively, or could run it until the end of time and get all 300/310 gear respectively. The only thing that kind of prevents that is tge challenges but not everyone feels like doin those and you can also be carried through those with a decent enough team so really light lvl doesn't = skill it is really just equivalent to ones luck. 2nd, your PvE KD clearly shows that you aren't the one to be talking about skill. On either of your characters. Not even your PvP. (My PvP Kd isn't that high either and I assume it's for the same reason, we don't enjoy it and only do it for the bounties.) But if your KD against the AI is just barely 10 on one character and 8 on the other, you aren't that skillful and have a team of people willing to carry you through endgame content.
-
Op has 0.43 trials kd = no skill ;)
-
Time invested does not equal skill. Light level usually equals PvE skill but it isn't hard to get 310+ while being crap at PvP.
-
I agree. No argument from me, but I've been saying this since I started gaming. It applies to all games. It's just like being 10th prestige in CoD Or a forrunner on Halo Reach

B8 or satire?

1 AntwortenLight level = experience ...with luck...on gear drops..
-
Having experience does not necessarily make one skilled. Someone may have 1000 hours on something and still suck at. Take nfl players for example, just because you played high school and college football does not mean you are skilled enough to go pro, but you still have the experience that the rest of the draft pics do.

While there may be a trend between light level and skill level, there will always be outliers. Light level does not equal skill, light level is an estimate of skill.
