If sniping isn't a crutch...
If sniping is a skilled weapon, why can so many bad players with under a 1.0 kd do so well with any sniper? It's worse then thorn lol I'm not asking for a nerf but sniping has really lost its creditability at this point. Good snipers have no reason to comment. If you're good you understand the difference.

1 AntwortenThe reason why snipers feel so OP are because of a lot of problems. The sniping mechanics are easy to learn and if you play long enough you will get a hold of it. Another reason, most maps have very simple designs that won't allow you to get close to someone without running through sniper lanes. Maps that display this are dungeons, shores of time cauldron, etc. Everyone knows the main points of these maps and sniper lanes. The problem with maps like these is you know the enemy will pass through these points if you watch them long enough. Narrow corridors help as well as the aim assist will stick to the target as they turn the corner. Another reason snipers seem OP is because the lastword has been beefed up. So even if you do manage a flank you still got to beat a lastword which is very difficult with shotguns as they are. That is why there is a rise also in players going invisible with shotguns. I hate it but I don't blame them. Let me know what you feel???? I personally feel lastword as it is now does not fit into year 2, and causes alot of problems when matched with a sniper.

Rarely get out sniped so.. It's what ever.. Any can get a kill with any gun.. It's just a matter of who is consistent with it..

Every weapon is a crutch. Bungie should implement marshmallow fights and group hugs in the shower after each pvp match.

You can't just say all sniper me are crutches. Remember what happened when we thought autos and HC's were op? They were nerfed into the dirt. Pick a specific sniper then comeback.

Sniping isn't a crutch. A crutch refers to a single weapon, IE, Thorn, The Last Word, ect. You can't signify a "crutch" weapon with a grouping of weapons. If you are referring to 1000-Yard Stare, then say that. Personally, I prefer low Aim Assist weapons for PvP , but my 1000-Yard Stare does the job in PvE, and since I have yet to find a decent low Aim Assist sniper with ambush scope, I have to stick to it. Also, I have been using snipers in PvP since I started playing (which was pre House of Wolves), and no one has ever complained about snipers until now. If you can't figure out how to counter a good sniper, don't go around calling them crutch. Just learn to adapt your play style. I stuck with sniping when 90% of crucible was using Thorn/The Last Word, and shotguns. I still managed to keep a positive k/d per game, because I adapted to combat the "rush and gun" meta, and adjusted my tactics to combat Thorn.

It's a never ending cycle. Nerf all primaries to make them suck. Then overuse shotguns and nerf those, now it's snipers. If we had primaries w a ttk as that of pulse rifles pre December patch, this wouldn't be an issue. Ttk was fast enough to hold off shotguns if you were good, but slow enough to have the more skilled gunman hand win the gun fight.

It was genuinely arduous. Now I make 20 or higher whilst not even paying attention. I even went 19/0 with mida and my trusty trolley problem. I used to be terrible at sniping. (Couldn't hit the broad side of a barn). Then I began to practice in og trials. Now all my shots hit, and a good 75% are heads. I still have an under 1.0 k/d over all. But I primarily play for s#### and giggles. And my monthly and weekly k/d residually are always above 1.0. In short, I would label myself a descent player via my capabilities, not my k/d. Same goes for everyone else. :)

Sniping is relevant in every other fps. Anyone and I mean anyone can sit ads with a sniper and headshot. That doesn't make them good or snipers overpowered. Stop running around corners like you're the only person In the game. If I want to run around and snipe I should be able to. Quit complaining either change your play style to match or join the fray

If they do well with a sniper, I'm guessing they must be decent with a sniper. That's just me though.

Sniping in destiny isn't that hard to learn, anybody can do it and since the hit box is a bit more generous compared to other games it makes it all that much easier.

When I first started playing Destiny, I was horrible at PvP. Hence my shit KD, but the only crutch I see with any sort of sniper is if the sniper has high AA.

7 AntwortenI'll explain what happened to people who don't understand. Over the course of destiny lifetime, every special other than snipers have been nerfed. Sniper rifles have been left untouched. Because all other special weapons now are less effective than they once were, a lot of people have migrated to using sniper rifles and have realised they're not really that difficult to use. Now we have a ludicrous amount of people sniping to the point where a lot of matches are almost wholly played out with sniper rifles alone. The whole flow of pvp has changed, the pace has slowed, many matches now go the time limit where they never used to. In my opinion the game has become boring. Snipers now lock maps down, you can't advance because if you poke your head around the corner, you're dead. So what is the resolve? Leave sniper rifles as they are and massively reduce the amount of special ammo we get. If everyone only gets 5 shots per match, people will be forced to use their primary weapons. Job done.

I'm terrible at crucible, but still play for fun. Over the last year I have improved a lot, but still bad. Sniping, however, I still cannot do at all. Not even a little bit. I am not the most experienced FPS player, but it sure looks to me like sniping takes a ton of skill. I hate snipers, but respect them.
