..players who run the no knight strat. The amount of players who fail to land 2 shots on a virtually stationary target is staggering.
Have we really fallen that far? To a point where the majority of raiders, regardless of light level, can't even snipe a simple red-bar knight?
Surely these aren't the same raiders who landed consistent icebreaker shots on Atheons glitchy crit-spot while he C-Walked around his podium, or wielded their black hammers like Lex Steele, vaporizing the CE swordbearer the instant he spawned. Right?
The no-knight strategy was designed to be used as a crutch for inexperienced, underlevelled, or poorly skilled players. Using it, a weak player could still complete the activity by offloading all their responsibility onto the relic runner and ogre killers. There is no reason to still be using it if you're in any way decent. You're making the fight harder than it needs to be.
I swear, the amount of no-knight plate-loiterers who openly criticize the relic runner whenever he gets lit up by an ogre is insane.
"Dude!, stop dying! Why do you keep getting killed?".
Because you're too incompetent to snipe a simple add with a huge crit-spot, that spawns in the exact same place and follows a pre-determined path. That's why.
Edit: Lol, at the offended knight-shy players. Did I hit a nerve?

Ran only when using LFG because randoms.

1 AntwortenYour post. My thoughts. It's like they meshed together and pissed off so many bad kids. I applaud you ;D
-
"I don't think you know what you're doing, you probably got carried for that emblem." Oh yeah, I totally got carried. I'm getting carried awaaay woaaahh! (leaves fireteam) I did it 3 times easy, but the last time I had to join one of my friends because almost every LFG team was horrible.
-
1 AntwortenYeah 16 bombs is a fun alternative way to do the fight. What I found more than what U are talking about. Is the floaters inability to handle things. Amazing how they couldn't kill that 4th knight without complaining. Heck every time I was the 3platform alone on the rotation I would wait and kill it my self before going to middle.
-
3 AntwortenNot true. Usually run no knight strat, got oryx challenge done on 2nd or 3rd try on each character. Its all about the team ur running with. If each person can hold their own and do what they are supposed to then its easy as hell.
-
4 AntwortenLol I left a group quickly last Tuesday because..... I was on platform 1 and..... Wait for it...... ... Ended up killing all 4 red bar Knights myself.... Dead serious! Deuces.
-
2 AntwortenYeah, it definitely was a tough week for good players who always play hard oryx. So many players came outta the woodwork to grab those sweet 320 primaries. It really pisses me off that people join a group and lie that they know what to do. Cuz one player can screw 5 people out of the loot they deserve.
-
I'm not doing this challenge for this reason. I must rely on lfg mostly, and it's too stressful for me to try and find people who don't die on the second round of ogres. AND IT ALWAYS HAPPENS!! So I'll wait till next time it comes around. Hopefully more people are a higher light level and better at the regular strategy by then.

1 AntwortenI don't have a team to do it with that makes me "not a man"?
-
2 AntwortenWhy would a guy use the easiest strategy their is? Oh wait.... Okay in all seriousness, It's easy, simple, and just pure lazy. Which is why it's so popular. No offense to anybody, but I'm quite sure a man would do anything in a video game to get something quickly. This is Destiny, where the grind is inevitable, but it's time can be controlled. The "No Knight" strategy puts all the work into 3 people instead of 6, making it easy. er. Now, why would a team have all 6 players do something, when 3 is enough to get the job done with far less work? It's like the original raid cheeses, (Crota bridge, Crota, Atheon, Templar, etc.) everyone wants the easy way out because doing it legit will take up more of their time, and have more chances of a screw up. I could care less how I do it, I just want results. I'm sure this is one of the main reasons. -The guy with no house.
-
I honestly don't like the no knight strat and much prefer the challenge mode strat but I can't get it done cuz people can't stay alive or ppl don't know what to do
-
10 AntwortenI didn't even complete hard mode before the challenges came out, and didn't do any of them either. Cheers to not giving a -blam!- and just playing Crucible since at least it's not just shooting at the same AI over and over.
-
Finally got them completed on all 3,glad that is over with
-
You have spoken the truth.
-
1 AntwortenI recon a lot of no knight Scrubz actually found out how easy it was to run it the right and normal way a lot of people I did it were like "this way is heaps easier than letting Ogres run around lighting me up" I was like yeah this why we do it this way haha
-
1 Antwortenthe c walking and lex steele comments were absolutely priceless. that and the plate loiterers. i have only even done the hard raid twice. i got really tired of destiny for a while. i did pop in for the challenges up til this week, because literally none of my friends consistently play anymore. i do want to knock it out. i have always seen the no knight strat as something that is as close to a cheese as can be, without being a cheese. i would put it right up with the window strat at crota. sure, it isn't an exploit, and it isn't a cheese, but it is at least synonymous with the two. i feel that anything you do to avoid a mechanic is always going to be questionable
-
This guy gets it. 10 points awarded to Gryffindor.
-
Well I'm sorry I can't get on until the 29th
-
3 AntwortenBefore challenge mode, my raid team always did the no knight strat and never once did it the original way. Until challenge mode....... We beat Oryx HM challenge on all three of our characters with absolutely no problem at all. You're full of yourself if you think it's hard.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Fightin Frog: 12/20/2015 7:09:38 PMThe only reason Atheon would C-walk around the podium was because of the baboons that insisted on using rockets on him. I would get irrationally mad when people did this lol
-
1 AntwortenI'd be upset that you might have hurt their wittle fee-fees... but honestly, I'm hoping all the No-Knighters leave Destiny. I really, really do.
-
2 AntwortenYes. I think you hit a nerve. But at least you hit something. Unlike some people.
-
1 AntwortenFinally got around to this weeks challenge. After the last two challenges, got a good roster. Someone died on first run. Accidents happen. No biggie. Did it on the second run. Only thing I could say was "Why teh fuq has everyone been insisting on No Knight?!?!?"
-
1 AntwortenTrue- I ran through the hard mode up until oryx and was surprised by how many people couldn't kill their Knights.
-
I beat the challenge mode on hard. Which is also the first time I've ever completed King's Fall on hard. I also did it on my warlock, which is the first time I've ever finished the raid on that character normal or hard. I never did it before because I don't like raiding as much as other activities. It just wasn't that important for me to do. My point is, if you follow directions, and you do a little research before hand, you shouldn't have much trouble. Whether you run the no knight strategy or not, it really just comes down to doing tour research and following directions.

15 Antworteni only run no knight strat, had no problem killing oryx in challenge mode except for lagg(bombs not detonating, ogres teleporting ,people getting instakilled from echo by teleporting the moment echo slams, people dieing from "missadventure" when echo dies and we tp out for no reason and similar bs) i WILL continue to run exclusively no knight strat after this week and its not because i cant snipe a knight ,its because the raid is glitchy the rewards suck and so i REFUSE to complete the raid in its intended manner until this is fixed eat no knight strat and die you bastard developers
