The Oryx challenge certainly separates the men from the..
..players who run the no knight strat. The amount of players who fail to land 2 shots on a virtually stationary target is staggering.
Have we really fallen [i]that[/i] far? To a point where the majority of raiders, regardless of light level, can't even snipe a simple red-bar knight?
Surely these aren't the same raiders who landed consistent icebreaker shots on Atheons glitchy crit-spot while he C-Walked around his podium, or wielded their black hammers like Lex Steele, vaporizing the CE swordbearer the instant he spawned. Right?
The no-knight strategy was designed to be used as a crutch for inexperienced, underlevelled, or poorly skilled players. Using it, a weak player could still complete the activity by offloading all their responsibility onto the relic runner and ogre killers. There is no reason to still be using it if you're in any way decent. You're making the fight harder than it needs to be.
I swear, the amount of no-knight plate-[i]loiterers[/i] who openly criticize the relic runner whenever he gets lit up by an ogre is insane.

4 AntwortenKilling the knight isn't the problem, it's not shooting/not dying to the acolyte eye after you shoot the knight. That's the real problem.

It was a clever idea and worthy to be called a strategy. Thanks to it I was able to survive LFG raids as it is for some reason very hard to kill Knights for some people.

It's security of the blights. Even if a person can shoot their knight. Do they have the ammo? Did their ogar or any other target lag or glitch? Did the knight spawn before the ship goes through the middle and shoots everyone? Is the vessel going down? There are a lot of variables at Oryx and everywhere else during the raid. And skilled smart players understand this. Using the no knight is not lazy or shows no skill. Its just avoiding unwanted wipes and wasted time.

We had never done anything but no knight and We beat the challenge.....

All I had used was the no knight and I beat the challenge 5 times. Twice on tues morning, an hour or so after the first twitch teams. Take your bullshit elsewhere.

1 AntwortenI completed all 3 chatacters with previous "no knighters" from lfg, and had 0 problems. The real question is where do you find these so called terrible players? Or are you making up stories to make yourself sound like a pve all star?

Bearbeitet von Piggyback: 12/21/2015 12:30:42 PMIf you're 310+ and have experience with the hard raid then there's no reason why you should still be running no knights. The platform roles are essentially being carried by the other 3. Try pulling your own weight. It's a complete mess of a strategy.

Odd, before this week I beat oyrx a total of 1 time on hard. The only time I did was no knight. After this week I have 4 oyrx kills, 3 of which are challenge mode kills. Seems like such a hard fight? All 3 of those were with lfg teams and two took maybe 30 minutes... Honestly, no knight was harder, the way we did challenge mode is hands down the easiest way to do it.

The challenge is easier than the no knight strategy. If anyone can't beat it in a week they are scrubs.

2 AntwortenHmm ive done no knight strat in almost all my hard completions. But yet i never had diffculty doing the challenge? Sorry to disappoint but theres other ways to do the raid than your own. And maybe you should actually try no knights before making a dumbass biased assumption.

3 AntwortenI must say in the beginning (when everyone was still 310-312) I was one of those who said the no knight strat was viable. When ur at such a low light u need all the help u can get. But after 3 challenge weeks and a bunch of guaranteed 320 drops, everyone should at least be a 316-319. It is so much damn easier and manageable to just kill everything including the light eaters.

2 AntwortenWe had two Titans on the sister platforms, one with blessing and one with weapons, dispensing ogres. Our dedicated runner who took care of the ship knight that spawns then jumps up to sisters 3 platform guys who take care of their respective knights then jump up to sisters and kill the fourth as he runs across. Everyone dps oryx, jump down kill adds, teleport, kill shade. Wash rinse repeat until round four where everyone jumps from sisters 4 people detonate bombs then everyone heads to the front for final dps round.

U dont even need to snipe the knights. U can kill them With any weapon they slow

I used to run the no-knight strategy myself until the challenge mode Oryx fight this week. Ran it across all three of my characters and can say that it's definitely easier doing the fight the normal way.

Just cleared hard mode for the first time. Challenge complete. Wasn't to bad just ppl kept dying from stupid shit.

The funny part about killing the knights is it only takes 1 head shot and 1 body shot to kill with any high impact sniper.

1 AntwortenI find a direct correlation to when to do the raid to the success of the group. LFG on Tuesday or Wednesday is usually pretty good, but by the weekend, most of the good players have done it, and the groups always have one or two weak links.

Haven't managed to get it done everyone keeps dying except 1 or 2 of us ( I'm one that doesn't) got to get to bed now really pissed off because it's so easy, and I really wanted that ship.
