Not a fan of the New Crucible Meta
After playing for the last few days, it seems that 1000 Yard Stare with TLW/MIDA are the most popular weapons in the new meta. And this makes the game feel more passive ... almost boring. Basically, snipers hard-scoping traffic lanes, then cleaning up kills with a quick switch to the Mida/TLW. I honestly preferred the blink/shotgun meta to this. At least that was fun.
Just to clarify, I am[b] [i]not[/i] [/b]calling for a nerf. The MIDA is one of the most balanced guns in the game and rewards accurate players. It is probably my favourite weapon. It just kinda sucks when everyone uses the same weapons.
[b]Edit 1:[/b] Thanks for all the comments. Fun stuff. And to those calling me a hypocrite for using the MIDA and 1000 yard stare, well if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. [spoiler]Actually, I've used MIDA practically since launch and I'm peeved that everyone else is using her now. [/spoiler]
[b]Edit 2: [/b] Okay, so [i]The Party Crasher +1[/i] is a good shotgun. Had a lot of fun with it today. Works well with old blink shotgun style, but you should play a little more carefully, and get in as close as possible for the kill. Also the [i]Havoc Pigeon[/i] is a great sidearm if you know how to use it well.
[b]Edit 3: [/b] I think people should just trying playing with other weapons for fun. Always seem to end up in sweaty matches.

1 AntwortenI don't know what the hell you're all talking about i use whatever the hell i just feel like using at the time, and i almost always get the top of my team or even both. If i feel like running Hard Light then you're gonna be seeing a light show. If i feel like using a sidearm, you beat believe I'm gonna be running around like goddamn James Bond. Hell I'll even use guns that people do nothing but bitch about like No Land Beyond. And do you know why? It's because i know how to do this thing called "having fun". You see if you use the same thing as all the other people like a bunch of lemmings, then the games gonna get pretty freaking stale. You switch up every now and then and use guns that no one else even thinks to use, you might actually like it

9 AntwortenJust so you know, [b][i][u]THE ENTIRE PURPOSE[/u][/i][/b] of a sniper rifle is to cover lanes of fire and avenues of approach from a distance, while remaining covered and/or concealed and to do it while 'hard scoping'. That's their entire purpose. From start to finish, that's what they were designed for. The only addition to that would be to observe, and eliminate VIP targets. So calling people out for 'hard scoping' is like telling a racecar driver not to use both hands on the steering wheel.

As a below average PVP player, I think the newest update was to increase player base. I had only won one rumble match before the update. Since the update and MIDA re-release, I've won two rumble matches. By making bad or below average players more competitive, more will play PVP. I would suggest that the good players will still be better, as thru can probably play with anything.

Everyone is saying that the 1000 yard is the only special people run but in every game I've played today there has been more shotguns than snipers. Stop bitching about nonexistent problems.

My auto rifle, Telesto, void sword, and nova bombs (combined with the tension of melee and grenades last minute), have made me into an average to decent PvPr. I purposely try and balance how I use my arsenal, in order to 1) make the rewards and comradarie for my team more beneficial; and 2) not become like the other majority of players who believe they need to use their special and rarely leave their perch. Best feeling during a game? Taking my sword to the dome of a try-hard sniper.

5 AntwortenThis is why I lost interest in K.D ... with my Titan. I just go for incredible kills... or deaths. It makes it way more fun. Try year 1 weapons like da Thorn, Universal Remote. Then relax and destroy the regular snipers. Ones who haven't acquired the skill at close snipe combat.
