Not a fan of the New Crucible Meta
After playing for the last few days, it seems that 1000 Yard Stare with TLW/MIDA are the most popular weapons in the new meta. And this makes the game feel more passive ... almost boring. Basically, snipers hard-scoping traffic lanes, then cleaning up kills with a quick switch to the Mida/TLW. I honestly preferred the blink/shotgun meta to this. At least that was fun.
Just to clarify, I am[b] [i]not[/i] [/b]calling for a nerf. The MIDA is one of the most balanced guns in the game and rewards accurate players. It is probably my favourite weapon. It just kinda sucks when everyone uses the same weapons.
[b]Edit 1:[/b] Thanks for all the comments. Fun stuff. And to those calling me a hypocrite for using the MIDA and 1000 yard stare, well if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. [spoiler]Actually, I've used MIDA practically since launch and I'm peeved that everyone else is using her now. [/spoiler]
[b]Edit 2: [/b] Okay, so [i]The Party Crasher +1[/i] is a good shotgun. Had a lot of fun with it today. Works well with old blink shotgun style, but you should play a little more carefully, and get in as close as possible for the kill. Also the [i]Havoc Pigeon[/i] is a great sidearm if you know how to use it well.
[b]Edit 3: [/b] I think people should just trying playing with other weapons for fun. Always seem to end up in sweaty matches.

The day Bungie figures this out will be a wonderful day.

Well ANYTHING is better than y1 thorn/shotty! Literally anything! I'm totally fine with the new meta. I don't even play pvp hardly ever but I do watch a lot of streams and I even got tired of watching that crap

1 AntwortenI miss the PR/ shotty meta and I didn't even use PRs and shotties, I used a freshly nerfed TLW and a sniper. Now my underrated combo is the new meta...

Yeah it seems like there's no variety anymore, I can't be one to talk b/c I've been using TLW + sniper combo since I got the last word during the third week of destiny. It was my first exotic and I've been glued to it ever since. By far my favorite, but now that everybody uses it, it's like the gun isn't as fun. The last word was so unique and made everything feel fast paced. I miss that.

In CoD most of the weapons are balanced as far as it goes with ttk, and if a gun seems ridiculously op it gets a small nerf and it dosent take a month to do (could be wrong). In Destiny, eveyone wants to use the fastest ttk gun that shows up in any new meta, and one that is consistent; snipers, shotguns, tlw, and other you can think of from old patchs such as vex pre nerf, suros regime, thorn, pre nerf tlw, and lasts meta of pulse rifles. Though CoD and Destiny are completely different fps games, the contrast is that CoD has fine tuned how they balanced their weapons all across, and Destiny still has yet to do so. [spoiler]not a fanboy for either game, actually been playing Neverwinter alot haha[/spoiler]

6 AntwortenI got the MIDA back during HoW and was happy because I enjoyed scout rifles. I never used it because of the sound it makes. I have very weird requirements for weapons.

Came across a guy playing Thorn/Judgement meta. He rekt and I gave him props. Y1 meta is still very viable.

I'm fine with mida. I love that weapon and it doesn't make a bad player better. It can make a good player great if they know how to use it. The last word is just hard to balance it seems. Bungie doesn't want it to be shit but any buff to it seems too much and any nerf is also too much. As for the 1k I'll just use my stillpiercer and kill them 1st.

I feel like with Hawkmoon I can out shoot anything in my respected range. Kill a Mida user in 3 shots, sometimes 2. Same with the TLW with a little distance in between us. Pulses don't really stand a chance anymore against it.
