"Snipers need a ner---" Stop. Just stop.
People on Destiny have complained about everything. Hand canons, pulse, shot guns and now snipers. The problem isn't snipers, it's the lack of counters. The pulses could offer a good amount pressure on snipers, and we all know what Thorn could do in year one. Now that things have been nerfed (by community request), people [who maybe arent good with scout rifles] are realizing that scouts are the only things that have a chance of countering them from a distance. I have been sniping since Crota dropped.
I used LDR, no one said a word.
House of Wolves came out and we could [u][b]PICK THE PERKS ON OUR GUNS[/b][/u] through re rolling them.
I ran Her Benevolence with Unflinching and Hidden Hand with BOTH the Ambush and Hawk Eye scopes. No one said a word.
Shot guns, hand canons and shotties are nerfed.
You have no options left but to adapt and suddenly 1000 yard stare is the devils gun. Snipers are what they always been. A gun that rewards reaction time and precision.
So think about it, are you really complaining because every single is sniper you meet is crazy good, or because you're running around like a chicken with its head cut off because you don't know what to do?

I can not snipe in any other game but Destiny. It is super easy. I am the worlds worst sniper but in Destiny i have ridiculous accuracy with snipers. http://destinytracker.com/destiny/medals/xbox/groobs%20mcdugal 76.8 headshot???? Come on. You just stop. It's auto aim sniping and really needs to be fixed. It ruined trials. Watch the kill feed in any game you play and 80% of the kills are head shots to the dome with a sniper. No other game has that many head shots from snipers in one match. You can't even run out in trials, it's just instant death with auto aim sniping. Game is a joke

Reaction time and precision aren't the roll people play. 70% times you get sniped is because the guy just aim and wait. And if you shoot a sniper, his scope shouldn't be able to hit you in head :) With OP shotguns you had the risk to take closer, with snipers you are the king of security. So yes, snipers needs lower aim assit.

I usually keep my complaints to myself, but snipers are bugging me because of the number of people that use snipers now, so matches are much more passive and less exciting, and there seems to be somebody hard scoping every single doorway and corner. I'm not going to use the dance third person trick at every single corner, so it's incredibly frustrating to peak around a corner and just immediately get domed. It's just not fun. While I do say this, I also would not propose any nerfs to snipers, because I don't see any possibility that wouldn't ruin them. It's not really that much of a problem, I've just had a few matches that are extremely campy/frustrating, and I can see where the complainers are coming from.

1 AntwortenThe flinch needs to be increased. There's no reason why I should be able to quickscope someone straight out of a sprint while two people are shooting at me. Sniping has become too easy.

1 AntwortenBecause 1000 yrd stare has too much AA. I'm sure you've seen how stupid it is on that thing. Moving from Stillpiercer to 1000 yrd, just feels dirty. If sniping rewards the skilled hand, why do you need 1000 yrd with its almost tracking bullets?

1 AntwortenI completely agree with you. This is coming from someone who HATES getting sniped across the map- such a buzz kill. But you know what? Something will always kill. Whether it's thorn, or shotties, hammers, palpatines, etc. Seriously the nerf crybaby witch hunt mobs have to learn to adapt and play better.

7 AntwortenI just think that we need to go back in time to the days of TLW/Thorn meta. Back then snipers and shotguns were pretty decent and handcannons could do damage while still being able to be countered by pulse rifles. Add in a [b][i]real[/i][/b] auto rifle buff and we'd be golden. ....But that's just me reliving Year 1 so whatevs.

1 AntwortenSnipers WILL be nerfed, no matter what you think or say. Why? Because they're by far the most used weapon class right now without any counter other than a sniper. Sniping will be nerfed. Simple as that.

Sniper aim assist fine.. I personally think you should have more problems if you are shot while ads though... Maybe come out site like you do in new halo? Or have greater flinch?

3 AntwortenThe reason why people want snipers nerf ed is because it is so -blam!-ing easy to snipe in this game, it is really so incredibly easy compared to other games. The reason why is because people who used to only use shot guns recently switched to snipers because of the nerfs and realized how easy it is to use snipers. It would of been this way since day one if people would of just tried out snipers.

To all the people saying "if I can get easy kills with a high AA sniper, imagine what someone who is good at sniping" when you get good at sniping you don't necessarily want a high A sniper

5 AntwortenI think they will probably tweak flinching a bit. It's kinda too easy to land a headshot while taking shots right now. Just needs to make you flinch a tiny bit more or de scope you. No real need needed.

Quite a good read. Nice opinion on the subject. Good comparisons to previous DLCs. I just wish snipers couldn't pull of shots (as well) while being shot at.

People didn't mind them until shotguns got nerfed it's just now they can go without being rushed with shotguns they don't need a nerf whatsoever I agree

How would they even nerf snipers? Make it a 2-shot kill? The aim assist on 1000-Yard Stare isn't even that great, so I can't see them nerfing AA.

I left the game for quite a while, came back and everyone knew how to snipe??? I saw all these posts but I just shrugged it off. But seriously when u left, most players couldn't aim a golden gun ffs now everyone knows how to snipe....blame no sway

Thorn was a great counter. But hey everyone cried nerf on every sniper counter. So now snipers are way over powered because nothing can stop them not because they got better or easier to use. I hate being stuff so I say we should bring back the sniper counters. There is only one thing I think that should be fixed on sniper. You should be pulled out of scope or have major disruption if your being shot while scoping. Snipers should be a one shot kill to the head there is no way to change that. But making it harder to snap shot across any map might help
