1 AntwortenThis [i]should[/i] be 5th grade knowledge. The U.S. needs to implement a more efficient curriculum. If we taught half-year course of natural sciences like biology, chemistry, physics, and astronomy, we would be able to achieve a working knowledge of the universe's components, or what I would call scientific literacy, before entering high school. Now, half the people I know don't know that "light year" and "parsec" are units of distance, life on Earth has endured a multitude of mass extinctions (not just the dinos), how they date million year old fossils, etc. And not to pull the victim card, but it's not their fault that they weren't shown the stuff they should have been when growing up, it's the school system.
