318+ requirements...what!?
So what the hell is this new requirement that I'm seeing for 318+ on the recruitment forums. Jeezus! I have a 319 and 318 so I don't have trouble getting into events but this is seriously out of hand. Couple of weeks ago it was 310 then 315 now 318 after this weeks challenge everyone will be required to be 320 for invites to challenges, raids, and possibly iron banner of this keeps up. I understand the loot is good but don't leave out the casuals that want to get this done too. I know 310's that die less in endgame than most random 318s. Is anyone else high light level like me that thinks this is kind of too much or am I just an old school player that is stuck in thinking bringing a 29 into a 32 raid isn't a big deal?

Edit: to the people telling me to make a group, I have and generally do. I don't have problems making groups or joining being 319 318 and 316 (slacking on my warlock)

Then you could set the raid requirements to what you want and can run knight or no-knight etc. When I read the posts there are always more people saying it annoying so if they all started their own groups there would be a lot more 305+ groups running it.

1 AntwortenYes, it's ridiculous people looking for 318+, I'm 319 (one light off 320) on my hunter, 318 on my Titan and 319 on my warlock, if I ever post a recruitment my least for hard mode will be 309+ coz at some point during the raid if someone is 309 they will get something to boost their light up easily, I don't mind taking people through, I don't know why people have to have such high light to be able to join a raid, there are a lot of people who are lower light but better than the higher light

5 AntwortenThe real issue is all of the scrub no-knight bads who were carried for the past 2 months. Now that they can't sit on a platform for 90% of the fight and watch everything the LFG is full of incompetents. 318 and never killed a knight is worse than 310 and never had to use a crutch.

2 AntwortenI used to be of a similar mind. And admittedly now I find myself asking for higher levels. This is purely because I did a raid not so long ago, and purely by chance we had a full team of 315+ We go to oryx in around 40 mins, on hard, which was so nice, to get there quickly for a change. It was so chilled out, so stress free, no raging, or arguing, or people pointing fingers blaming low levels. Honestly it's the best group I've raided with. I do agree that 318+ is asking a little too much. But I do now see the appeal of asking for higher levels as it was such a breeze with a team of competent players

1 AntwortenTo some degree, I almost don't blame people for asking for high light. I have been part of some groups from LFG that are so inexperienced, it becomes frustrating. Literally joined a group of 315s that could not stay alive for more than 20 seconds after oryx slams his fist. Happened more than once too. I'm not a Sherpa and I am not interested in spending 4 hours on something that takes 30 minutes while you figure it out. They just need to tell the truth in LFG. Most of the people are lying through their teeth.

222 AntwortenIf you are not 315 by now you are probably trash. Absolutely unacceptable. The light is arbitrary, the fact they don't have it more often than not means they are a bad player. Between trials packages, raid, and srl there is 0, I repeat ZERO acceptable excuses other than they are bad players. I'm not trying to wipe 100 x or carry people who can't do simple things. I'll gladly accept a lower light level on a guy I know actually KNOWS how to play bit not some random blueberry.

I did the oryx challenge as a 311 with a 301 and a 307 in my group. Yet all I see is "must be 315" or "must be 318" on destiny tracker. It's honestly hilarious.

No difference at all between 315 and higher. I can understand 315+, but saying 318 makes a person look like a retard. I'm 319 and it's all the same shit.
