Seriously though. I thought end game loot was restricted to end game activities.....
I don't even care about them selling level 25 kits for $40, since it's not end game tier loot.
Why would stupid ass racing reward you with gear at the same level as raiding, trials, and iron banner.
I usually support bungie in much of what they do, but this one pisses me off.
Even if, by some ridiculous line of thought, you consider SRL end game, why wouldn't they limit end game drops to once per reset like every single other end game activity? SRL has become the most rewarding activity in destiny now? Lol.
Maybe next month they'll add a remake of asteroids that drops 320 chest pieces after a couple hundred games. You know, to make sure there is enough endgame content and end game gear for everyone...

1 AntwortenI took advantage of this opportunity, but I agree that the logic is weird.

1 AntwortenRun the raid 15 or so times = get no armor except boots. Run srl for about same amount of time = All three characters have 320 class items, 2 have 320 helmets, 1 has 319...... And I have 21 helmets that are 312+ sitting in vault. They need to seriously change the way stuff drops in raids. It's not even worth running anymore
-
3 AntwortenI think it's funny that my titan is 306 and I've 1) never finished a raid 2) never played Iron Banner 3) never played Trials 4) stopped running strikes months ago It's kind of awesome.
-
3 AntwortenThe way you put it sounds like it's raining 320 gear while playing SLR. First of all it's only helmets so it's not, as you say, "the most rewarding activity in Destiny now". And second, it's really, really hard to be lucky enough to get even one which is contrary to your statement of "to make sure there is enough endgame gear for everyone". In conclusion, you sound salty.
-
1 AntwortenFist: as far as I know it's only helmets. And second: gotta give PvPers a chance, otherwise it's unfair.
-
I'm not fond of this gear-welfare either. But I guess it's Bungie's holiday gift to everyone that wants to swap one kind of grind for another, non-endgame, grind. So I guess all of those people that put in the raid effort for chances at RNG helmets (& class items??) can just suck it. Raid drops are messed up. Rather than adjust that, let's put gear in a revenue-generating event. Increases the stats, by incentivizing play for those that otherwise wouldn't play, encouraging money to be thrown at screen, so we can claim this farce was a rousting success. Now if you'll excuse me, there are some kindergaurdians I have to go have a word with about my lawn...

Plus the fact is that you need 310 plus to run a hard raid, and you better have a good team and communication an know what your doing to be successful. Unlike sparrow shit that drops 300 plus gear regardless of your light level. 250s getting 305 drops? Are you joking? Some of us had tp fight tooth and nail tp earn these things Now players get their little kids to farm get them for just Participateting in lame sparrow races with minimal grind needed to get rank 3 and start seeing rewards. Lets not forget that all ya gotta do is grab a few friends and let ur kids mess around. Doesnt matter if they win or loose or even finish the race at all, so long as they move enough to avoid the inactivity boot to orbit

I disagree while racing is incredibly boring I can grind it out. The raid, the lighthouse and lfg are all bad jokes and a waste of time for Me Plus 320 light doesn't much matter you can crush pretty much Everything at 310. I support giving guardians multiple ways of getting good items. Iron banner, raid, too, racing ,3 of coin
-
Trials is a joke. Getting to the lighthouse is no picnic, and the rewards are utter garbage. ONE Primary weapons that MIGHT drop at 320...OR 310. Iron Banner does it right, because it's not very difficult to grind out rank 5. The reward is worth the grind. King's Fall, pre challenge mode was a crapshoot for rewards, as well. I see nothing wrong with SRL's potential 320 helmet and class item rewards. For those that don't want to LFG or just can't get a 320 class item or helmet to drop in the raid, this is for them. I've grinded the hell out of SRL to get 320 bonds and helmets, because the raid hasn't dropped me ONE helmet above 315, and that dropped to me this past Tuesday night. Just because you got lucky with your drops in the raid doesn't mean that SRL is a joke.
-
37 AntwortenAgreed I can't stand this event yet if I want a 320 helmet I'm forced to play it because the Shítty Kings Fall reward system has NEVER given me a Harrowed helmet. It's not even a racing mode it's a Bumper cars mode. Seriously Bunglevision stick to what you do best make some shooting events? I don't want racing I have Project Cars for that. I don't want to collect candy I'm in my 40s not 5.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von MysticJon: 12/20/2015 6:57:51 PMBecause actually being at 320 Light is meaningless anyway. Other than to just see the number next to your name. Bungie wanted to give players more paths to end game rewards. Personally, I'm fine with it, because Raid or ToO 320 gear is still gonna be better than SRL 320 gear, because of their bonuses. Also, SRL only drops a helmet and a class item. You still need to get the other pieces from somewhere else to actually reach 320 Light.
-
3 Antwortenactually thats one of the most needed things in y2 .. an activity that you can grind SOLO , in order to achieve end level gear so that even solo players have the opportunity to participate in a raid... maybe slightly overlevelled. and therefore easier.. remember the 80% casuals are keeping this game alive not the 4% end class high level users that do the KF challenge the first day it comes out..
-
Peoplw that pay microtransactions for this game are completely brain dead.
-
Trials drops kind of end game weapons. Havent seen trails armor drop above 310. Which is not end game, its like 3/4 game loot
-
I don't think it's bad, but I wish the other end game things were as generous with light level. I like events dropping 320 gear. It makes people want to come back.
-
a. It's all in RNG, and its RNG is (in some cases) superior to IB, ToO, and KF b. Only helmets and class items can get light
-
You know it's only helms and class items that get to 320 and it's an event it's free to anyone why Burch just go get the 320 loot
-
With challenge modes being so easy this if you wanted to rush you'd just kill oryx. I'm doing srl for fun and a kings horn almost rank 4 no kings horn no 320's :(
-
4 AntwortenOp has 320 light wants to keep anyone from standing along side his epeen throne.
-
2 AntwortenI come in here expecting rioting in the comments. Can't believe how civil everyone is in this thread. Discussing their opinions and whatnot. GG
-
I kinda see your point -- but: It is only helmets, unlike real end game content that has drops in all the gun/armor groups.
-
2 AntwortenI still struggle with reaching rank 3, so annoying and boring to race...
-
Yeah heaven forbid those who need a little help to level up get it.
-
1 AntwortenYour a joke
-
1 AntwortenBecause you get what 1 maybe 2 chances a week per character for a 320 Helmet. People complained about shitty rewards, Bungie decided to give people a chance at better rewards that are easier to get....what do people do? They complain. Sorry but this is some peoples only chance to get a helmet over 320 Since RNG hates them in the raid drops.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Racebum: 12/20/2015 10:57:35 AMI have one guy rank three and a half and another two and a half . finished S rank on 2. I have received a few 312 , 315etc, not a single 320. The racing is pretty fun and a great change in pace
