SRL dropping 320 gear is a joke....
Seriously though. I thought end game loot was restricted to end game activities.....
I don't even care about them selling level 25 kits for $40, since it's not end game tier loot.
Why would stupid ass racing reward you with gear at the same level as raiding, trials, and iron banner.
I usually support bungie in much of what they do, but this one pisses me off.
Even if, by some ridiculous line of thought, you consider SRL end game, why wouldn't they limit end game drops to once per reset like every single other end game activity? SRL has become the most rewarding activity in destiny now? Lol.
Maybe next month they'll add a remake of asteroids that drops 320 chest pieces after a couple hundred games. You know, to make sure there is enough endgame content and end game gear for everyone...

1 AntwortenI tend to agree, I like Max level stuff being only available in the hardest end-game activities. I think this is just a quick solution to the "Not have everyone wear the same gear" problem. This game just can't get it's shit together, trying to please too many people at once.

2 AntwortenDrop rate is about one 320 for every 100 races. Good way to get some high level pieces to infuse up exotic helmets so you don't always feel like having to wear your 320 raid helmet. It's been good for leveling up all my other helmets to 316-318 range. And the glummer, coins and motes drop enough you can stock up on materials, level up factions and level up sets of armor and weapons. So overall it's been good for just boosting up a lot of stuff.

12 AntwortenOk so SRL is considered endgame. You don't have to agree with it or like it but it is. The drop rate for the 320s is sooooo low it is almost non existent. The fact that someone can get a 320 for racing effects you in no way, so stop worrying about it. It's a huge grind and racers deserve a reward. It's only helmets and class items so even if a player races for these drop its not like they are going to max light a character they will still need to do the other activities you mentioned. I hope this helps you sleep better at night. ;)

Ok first one cannot get 320 drops until rank 3. Second those 320 drops are rare. Third because its FUN. Personally I dont enjoy the raid (the oryx part dassit) and have no desire to grind something i dont enjoy. Racing to me is so fun and being top 3 95% of the time i feel i earn all my rewards. Buddy got a 320 for finishing last but thats cool. Good for him :)

Because they want ppl to ay it. If you just got 300 or 310 max stuff, not nearly as many ppl would be interested in it. I'm really glad they are doing it this way, I needed helmets to infuse and it's been really frustrating because they are so rare and you are stuck using the same helmet through every raid because it's your only high lvl one

It's only 20 days long.... People just have to complain about everything instead of just enjoying a temporary perk. It must suck to be so miserable.

3 AntwortenI think it's because they messed up the RNG so bad in the raid. Too many players have done the raid week after week and get nowhere due to the stinginess or just too low light levels to have made the effort worth the time. The helmets and class items dropping at 300 and higher makes the time spent worth while for anyone who has been unlucky when it comes to raid drops.

Some people can't always do raids and trials non stop. So who cares if bungie offers an alternative to getting higher light gear.

It's one piece of armor. Doesn't make a difference if the rest of your armor is barely 300.
