SRL dropping 320 gear is a joke....
Seriously though. I thought end game loot was restricted to end game activities.....
I don't even care about them selling level 25 kits for $40, since it's not end game tier loot.
Why would stupid ass racing reward you with gear at the same level as raiding, trials, and iron banner.
I usually support bungie in much of what they do, but this one pisses me off.
Even if, by some ridiculous line of thought, you consider SRL end game, why wouldn't they limit end game drops to once per reset like every single other end game activity? SRL has become the most rewarding activity in destiny now? Lol.
Maybe next month they'll add a remake of asteroids that drops 320 chest pieces after a couple hundred games. You know, to make sure there is enough endgame content and end game gear for everyone...

2 AntwortenWell it can only drop a 320 helmet or a class item. It cannot drop 320 weapons, chest, arms, legs, or ghost. So unless you can get max light with just a chest and class item, you still need to do the raid, trials of Osiris , or iron banner. Also there are a lot of people who play destiny but are busy with real world things and do not have the kind of time to sit down and raid, or do trials. This is those player's way of having some way to obtain good light level gear.

2 AntwortenI have never had a raid helmet drop, trials helmet above 303 or iron banana helmet drop above 315 (on my Titan, not my hunter which matters to me).... Almost all my gear on my hunters raid build is 320 aside from my helmet which had a 310 exotic to make it higher since I can't get a helmet. So I appreciate that sparrow racing is letting me get my helmet light level up little by little. Besides, end game gear looks like crap...and the drop rate is crap and The people you find to raid with usually are crap or have crap attitudes.

I played for a week. Highest I ever got was 313

I have over 200 races now(i am a counter) and only one 320 drop at all 3 318s all the rest less than 315, the rng rewards persistence and luck

It barely drops at 320 anyways. I got one 320 helmet, not exactly game breaking

2 AntwortenIts an easy fix to their loot system. Up until this week Oryx had never dropped me a helmet, he gave me a 318 this week. Then today SRL dropped me a 319 so im ok with them using it to supplement sh*tty RNG.

4 AntwortenCause Oryx sucks at giving ppl 320 helmets after 3 months! I'd rather have a free event that I can grind to get rewards instead of a raid boss that never gives me a 320 helmet since October!

1 AntwortenThey really had no choice, sparrow racing with 2 maps woulda died out the first couple of days , BUT throw. In some 320 armor it's getting praised by everyone. Unfortunately destiny is a game made for casuals, and The challenge we are looking for just isn't in this game as we thought it would be.

It's just a game. If you put in the hours you should get rewards. It's only a video game, this is the point of the game to play it.

3 AntwortenI run the raid every week. Can't get anything good to drop, especially helmets! Running SRL I now have my entire collection of helmets and cloaks over 318. Thank you Bungie! This makes up for my crappy Raid RNG.

I'm enjoying something different and getting piles of infusion helmets and class items for gear I want to use instead of some crappy piece that just happened to drop with high light value calling it a WIN!!! having more players raid-level equipped is a good thing imho - especially with a dwindling player base Hopefully iron banner will rain loot at good light levels in other slots

It's just another way to keep people playing. That's why the gear is 320 and will be for all these events. Bungie knows they made this expansion a total fùcking grind fest, by just giving you one raid to hit max lvl with, so they are gonna release these little IV drips of gear and content to try to keep people playing all year. Hopefully the next event will be some thing where, you know, I get to shoot a gun in my FPS game. We all know it will probably be like, play chess against other guardians in the tower!! Win loot for taking his King!!

9 AntwortenSRL is a limited time event that I'm sure bungie is collecting stats in order to determine the future of sparrow racing. To get enough data, they offer the possibility of 320 helmet and class items. You don't have to win, just race. With only 2 tracks, they need this carrot to get racers. I'm very appreciative to have an ability to get high level helmets to bring exotics like saint14, obsidian mind, and gravitron forfit to 315+ without grinding the raid 3x week for the next 3 months. Also leveling up IB and faction class items to 315+. And getting 3oC to drop exotics here and there. If bungie wanted to experiment with asteroids and offer good loot for a limited time, I'd play the sh*t out of that too.

1 AntwortenRNG Jesus is real !!!! Something to do if you have beaten the raid and gotten sharted on with light level stuff below your current light. Have gotten stuff to infuse my exotic helms and armor. No 320 yet 315 through 319.

1 AntwortenI tend to agree, I like Max level stuff being only available in the hardest end-game activities. I think this is just a quick solution to the "Not have everyone wear the same gear" problem. This game just can't get it's shit together, trying to please too many people at once.
