Have fun.

"Guys it's JUST Halloween masks who cares"
"So what if it's 10 dollars for a record book with an exclusive set of armor and exclusive sparrow"
"5 dollars per random sparrow...? It's still just cosmetic"
"Haha who cares so what if people can pay to level, it DEFINITELY won't go any further than this ....right..?"
7 AntwortenWho cares I'm not buying it so it doesn't bother me.
-
I don't need any of that stuff they can't buy my flawless and raid emblems
-
1 AntwortenThat seems way over priced for a spark of light, a subclass xp boost, and a few telementaries. Like I'd rather spend 50 bucks on something worth it rather than this crap
-
It is not game braking scrub. Lets see a lvl 25 take down oryx.

3 AntwortenGuys it's just a quick way for lazy people to get to the taken king content quicker for their new characters that [i]in no way affects your gaming experience.[i] Nobody's paying to get a one-up on gear or abilities that aren't available to the entire community, so it's not pay-to-win. So why care? Sure it stretches what deej said a little while ago, but he's representing a business. They aren't obligated to be friends with the people who play their games. Let's just hope they use the money they get to put out some high quality dlc with story in the future.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von UncleSir_: 12/15/2015 9:37:58 PMI have stared at the screen for a while trying to come to Bungie's defense.... I can't. They shot themselves in the foot with this one. But, hey, it is Christmas time so new accounts will help them buy a new foot. It isn't going to effect my gameplay but they are getting close to making me not want to buy the next game out of fear it will become a play for advantage game.

It is actually kinda of scary. I used to be with the, "Who cares it is all cosmetic," club but I am recently getting scared. The slippery slope is a logical fallacy, but we are slowly getting closer to falling off. I would really, REALY, like it to go back a step. Go back to festival of the lost micro transactions. Give us a Sparrow Book. I don't want to find an alternative to Destiny yet, I am still enjoying this game with my launch week emblem :)

2 AntwortenThey are grasping at straws to stop the bleeding from this dying game.. even at this risk of losing older players who are probably already wise and ready to quit anyway.

2 AntwortenNot going to defend this, for some it crosses a line and that is their opion. IMO this does not cross the line in stone that is pay to win. For me pay to win is (credit Mr Toast for listing these out so well) - - buying an exclusive subclass - buying an exclusive exotic weapon or armor - buying a boost that significantly (like way greater than 3of coins) increases exotic drop rate and is usable all the time - buying something that would be required to play content such as the raid - buying things that would give you a significant advantage over every other player in the crucible When they cross that line I will be done with Destiny. IMO if you want to spend $30 to $45 for Lvl 25, its your money even if I find it pretty stupid to skip 10 hours for that much money.
-
Really all it is, is convenience. I don't see it putting anyone at a disadvantage. If you're lazy and have money, then by all means buy it but it's not so hard to grind out what they're offering so I don't see this making much profit. I don't mind micro transactions. If exclusive gear with advantage comes into play, then it could be a huge problem for the community. People are quick to speak before something even happens, which in most cases will repel unfavorable changes. Regardless, it hasn't happened yet and I know Bungie knows if they implement pay to win, it will not be favored by most. Conspiracy nuts live among these forums and are a virus among many things. While its alright to be cautious, over abundance can be harmful. Enjoy the game, put forth opinions but don't waste energy on something that hasn't happened yet.

Bearbeitet von AGC Twitch: 12/16/2015 6:05:04 PMHow is L king to 25 pay to win?? You gain nothing except me asking you if you have x subclass leveled and you say no. Or I say ok need 1 more for oryx what's your LL and you say I'm 250. They aren't winning anything lol and anyOne who has a maxed character and deletes one isn't going to waste money on it and for a noob it's a way to get up to lvl 40 so possible friends clan mates can help ya run higher lvls to help get rng on your side.. So shut the fuk up
this was avail with TDB and you didn't complain then now did ya!! Fuking clown
12 AntwortenM8 still cosmetic, even if the price will be 100$ don't affect the game. But hey suckers are everywhere so why not.

7 Antwortenquote]Since the new arrivals to the store, the usual two groups have emerged. Group A: the whiners that look for anything to call Bungie out on and don't understand what pay to win is Group B: the level headed group that understands what pay to win actually is and understands how little of an impact this actually has. Pay to win is not getting to level 25 faster than me because you paid 30 dollars to do so. Level 25 doesn't have any advantage and I will reach that level in ten hours of gameplay. There is nothing about it that lets you "win" over me especially for the current player base. Examples of what pay to win really is: - buying an exclusive subclass - buying an exclusive exotic weapon or armor - buying a boost that significantly (like way greater than 3of coins) increases exotic drop rate and is usable all the time - buying something that would be required to play content such as the raid - buying things that would give you a significant advantage over every other player in the crucible Now that you have real examples of what pay to win is, maybe you can make a better decision next time before coming and bitching on he forums about things you claim to be, but are not, pay to win. Edit: Good fucking God I did not expect this to catch this much attention. I hope you all realize I won't be reading these comments lol. But thanks for giving me my first trending post! I will add some follow up points below. 1.) it is a slippery slope, I agree with that much, but it is in no way pay to win, no matter which tiniest little scenario you come up with in which it shows a glimpse of that nature, this has no effect on "winning" considering we were all given the spark of light for free when we bought ttk 2.) people are saying I'm the kind of person that would defend them even if they sold 320 gear. No..no I would not be. Selling end game gear, although it is something earn-able, is not something I would be okay with. What this current boost does is get you caught up quickly if you really want to blow 30 dollars, not allow you to spend money on something to get endgame gear while others have to grind for it. Not okay with that in the slightest. 3.) if Bungie ever sells anything available only through purchase with real world money that gives a significant advantage, like if they had sold the touch of malice or a thorn 2.0, that was not obtainable in game, I would be standing right alongside the rest of you rioting and protesting. Or if they sold any exotic gear for that matter. 4.) to recap, pay to win is not this. Pay to win is being able to buy something significantly advantageous that is completely unobtainable in game. But I would still not be okay with them selling anything of real importance in game. But xp boosters? The least of my worries. Edit: I notice a number of you mentioning the "cosmetic only" promise. Technically, they still haven't broken it because eververse is what they were referring to. These items are sold through the console store :p (I'm just being a troll lol, but I do get what you're saying)
Damn why don't just do 2x event buff for free instead of paying 44$ just to get to lv 25 smh bungie....
-
Whoa I thought you were kidding. Sure enough it is there. What a waste of money. If people are stupid enough to do that than I guess that is their own stupidity.
-
2 AntwortenWhy are people all upset over this, it was already available through buying the collectors edition, this is just a way for people who didn't buy that to buy it now.
-
It would be a waste of money. 25 is easy to get to, its nowhere near the level cap, and most of your character's strength depends on your gear anyways. I don't think this would give an advantage to anyone. I'm sure this pack comes with a helmet for your guardian that turns his head in to a lollipop with the word sucker written on it.

Price is -blam!-ing insane.. Wth are they thinking..

Activision for ya lol

The amount of idiots defending this shit is sad as hell lol. A boost item along with random sparrow packs arrives and no one cares about micros in a game most of us already paid 140$ for in the first place. You guys are either blind, dumb or completely addicted and should seek help. It's one thing for micros in a free to play game like planet side 2 where that's the developers only income for future content but in bungie case they already gouged us on the vanilla game 2 shit ass dlc and 1 mediocre "expansion". You guys are literally ready to spend over 200$ on 1 game that is piecing together content that should have been in the base game all the while smiling and asking for more. It's sad that I've seen Crack heads break thier addiction before you guys. Next is gonna be 320 gear and random exotic packages mark my words. I come here now and them just to see my addict friends on the forums and everytime I'm surprised by the absolute blind loyalty shown buy these "desticles".
