This is real, this exists and you have to deal with it.
Even the most retarded fanboys should be able to see this is hilariously stupid.
30$ Thirty real world dollars. for a NON-COSMETIC item.
Short version: You're being conditioned to accept micro-transactions.
Long version:
Bungie/Activision is a very smart group of people willing to psychologically manipulate its fanbase into either not caring or accepting in full to increase their bottom dollar.
Maybe that sounds crazy to you, but look at what they did with "Cosmetics only", people said "Oh, it's only cosmetic as long as it doesn't affect gameplay..." but now that it does affect gameplay it's "Oh, it's only level 25 as long as it's not max level..."
There was a community set "line" if you will and Bungie just crossed it.
Honestly at this point it's starting to feel like Bungie is the Will Ferrell to Activision's Christopher Walken.
Guess what!? I got a fever! And the only prescription... is more microtransactions! I gotta have more microtransactions baby.
Slippery slope

You can still find Red Bull codes, just buy that and get double xp for a half hour.

2 AntwortenI'm not convinced this is even a time saver - certainly not PTW if you were new account insta-25 you wouldn't have any decent armor/weapons and no marks/glimmer/materials/etc... Pretty sure you would have to go play all the stuff you would normally do to get to 25 just to have anything decent by the time you hit 40, even then you better have amazing RNG to have anything decent by 40
-
That pisses me off. Bungie is gonna get huge backlash from almost everyone above 12

Bungie is a business the same way Disney is a business. They pay people to design a game the same way Disney pays people to design and operate a theme park. We, the consumer, can then decide if we want access to the product that they are selling. Don't want it? Don't buy it. If you want to go to Disney, buy a ticket. You don't walk into Disney World after paying for the price of admission and demand that all the food and chachkies be free, so why do it with Bungie? If you want to cut the lines at Disney, you have you buy a pass for that. If you don't want to pay for the pass, don't buy it.

4 AntwortenThese are for people who don't want to put in the work to get to twenty five its not for players who have played the game since lunch or year one its for lazy asses cause all people do is bitch about the grind so there you don't get special weapons for it its not even the level cap why do you care

Fűck you bungie
-
Hey anyone want it done for 10$ let me know
-
Playerbase: we want old content to remain relevant and no p2w Bungievision: okay heres a lvl 25 char boost Playerbase: ....WATAFUK Bungievision: its not like you HAVE to buy it!
-
F U bungie
-
While I don't really think this is a problem, I do think we're going down a very slippery slope. Very very slippery.
-
The player base has already lapped up all the other BS. At this point they should squeeze every dollar from a consumer base that so easily parts with their money. I'm just watching to see how stupid this gets...lol.

1 AntwortenI bet the Christmas event is an Eververse thing where you can buy presents to send to people on your friendslist through the post master. Would not put it past Bungie at this point. They are milking Destiny 1 with micro transactions so hard right now.
-
9 AntwortenI usually stay out of idiotic conversations like this but here's my 2 cents. Ready? Cause it'll blow your mind.. Here goes: DON'T BUY IT. Problem solved. If you don't like the idea don't bother with it and shut your stupid hole.
-
I always thought that micro transaction was coined for small value items that could be bought in game. A $30/£25 lvl25 booster pack isn't a micro transaction, it's the cost of a full game released only a couple of months ago. It's a blatant rip off DLC for the criminally lazy/stupid.

I'm drawing an imaginary line in the sand and Bungie just crossed it bwhah

4 AntwortenI can't believe someone would defend this. Most destiny youtubers are just shills since they are defending this, that's why I watch KackisHD.
-
The second Bungie and activision start selling power (light, perks) that cannot be obtained without paying actual money, I'll hang it up. That's not what they're doing (yet); if that time comes, we'll all say our peace and leave. Not a single microtransactions has excluded non-buyers from "power."
-
God dammit activision
-
13 AntwortenWho cares bring on micro transactions

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Moot: 12/16/2015 2:13:03 PMThe worst part about it is it's actually tempting, because I can't bear to grind through those 'story' missions again. And I think bungie knows that: they know that the original game has been redundant since TTK. And now Activision's going to make profit off of that rather than fix it.
-
If someone wants to drop $30 on getting to lvl 25, let em. It saves them a couple of hours. Games like WoW do stuff like that all the time. If they could buy 320 light, I would have a problem, but buying lvl 25 has no effect on anyone who has been grinding this game out for a while

Bearbeitet von Freewaters: 12/16/2015 5:34:52 PMI haven't played Destiny in two months, except once or twice to do Crucible with a friend. I haven't been on the forums in as much time. But I hop back on and THIS is what I come back to? Hence why I quit. I think I'll go back in time to play Halo 3 when it was popular.... Before you hate, please note, I'm not back just to hate on Destiny. I left the forum to, to leave fans of Destiny alone.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Malikor: 12/16/2015 4:37:45 PMWhy do so many people care? Just play the game. Don't purchase the microtransaction items/services. Super simple stuff.
