This is real, this exists and you have to deal with it.
Even the most retarded fanboys should be able to see this is hilariously stupid.
30$ Thirty real world dollars. for a NON-COSMETIC item.
Short version: You're being conditioned to accept micro-transactions.
Long version:
Bungie/Activision is a very smart group of people willing to psychologically manipulate its fanbase into either not caring or accepting in full to increase their bottom dollar.
Maybe that sounds crazy to you, but look at what they did with "Cosmetics only", people said "Oh, it's only cosmetic as long as it doesn't affect gameplay..." but now that it does affect gameplay it's "Oh, it's only level 25 as long as it's not max level..."
There was a community set "line" if you will and Bungie just crossed it.
10 AntwortenI called all this a while ago, which is why I stopped playing this game, so much better without destiny consuming all of your time. I actually go to the gym again, getting back to my ripped self, slacked over past year chasing lame exotics. -blam!- destiny, and -blam!- their we want to consume your life tactic they use to get you hooked, well it used to work, as for year 2.......bwahahahahaha
-
Microtransactions? Now they're macrotransactions.
-
-
That one-star rating though!
-
Sure, all of that... Or maybe Activision-Blizzard is doing the same thing they do after every major expansion for WoW and allowing for booster packs for leveling up a character to less than max level in order to be able to actually play with the vast majority of the active players... But nah. There tinfoil hat theories about how bungie and activision are so greedy and creating this new money grubbing trend with no precedent makes so much more sense.
Seriously, though... this happens all the time in multiplayer games like this, its totally par for the course. Yearly, they release packs for new players or people who want to build an alt quickly, and keep up with expansions. Any other community, people beg for something like this... only in Destiny is it suddenly a new trend ending the world or whatever.
4 AntwortenPower leveling noob characters $1 per level PM me PayPal only
-
4 AntwortenLet me get this straight - everyone who bought TTK on release received this for free - a couple months later they start selling it for $30 (which is ridiculous) - over 95% of the people are already level 40 on 3 characters and they don't need it - destiny is now pay to win (#internet logic) It is stupid as hell to sell it for $30, but come on, it takes what, 3-4 hours to get up level? It's not pay to win, pay to save time maybe but even that's a stretch. If they sell weapons, consumables, armor, etc, then it's pay to win and it's time to raise up. Not over something this stupid.
-
35 AntwortenYou are all dipshits...as with every other game that has micro-transactions...no one forces you to buy it...and if parents don't have control of what there kid purchases..then they're to blame. ..that's the simple truth...if they offered weapons or armor....I'd buy the shit outta it...why....CAUSE I CAN!!!...I make my money and I'll spend it like I damn well please...bungie please start selling gear...so we rid the game of these morons...who have no REAL problems, no money, and no common sense...thats sad...get a job you losers
-
They're not micro anymore they're full on over priced transaction. The 30 dollar price point is almost laughably high. I don't know anyone that would pay that. Granted I don't really know anyone personally who still plays destiny...
-
I have still never had anyone be able to show me where bungie said micro transactions would be cosmetic only. They have said it would never effect power, but not that it would be cosmetic only.
-
3 AntwortenThey cost 45 bucks on PSN
-
Simple fact is your bieng conditioned to accept these micro transactions, they are only gonna get worse believe me, it's happened in loads of games, you are handing your money over to a corporation who likes to make money, they will eventually try to make more and more money, mark my words keep buying these and it will become pay to win, you will have micro transactions for Max lv, Max light and guns for silver. Now I really don't care what you use your money for just like you probably don't care what I spend my money on, that's OK when it comes to cosmetics, but when it's for pay to win (cos' it's obvious that's the way BungieVi$ion are taking this game) I think the idiots who buy them should simultaneously slapped upside the head with their credit/debit card by every single member of this community with but a slither of common sense.
-
2 AntwortenMicrotransaction? Microtransaction? Bruh this is a megatransaction. And does it affect you? NO. Literally anybody who cares about Destiny already has their subclasses leveled up and maxed with the entire skill tree of subclasses done. We all got that item for free when TTK released? The one that got you to Level 25 instantly? That ring a bell? You people need Jesus
-
In all honesty this is the most forgiving and retarted community I've ever been a part of. Two 20 buck short dlcs? Sure, over priced taken king outside of u.s.? Sure, silver to fund garbage? Sure, sparrow racing with payed stat coverage? Sure, refer a friend? Sure Every week there's a new controversy with this game, and desticles still defend it
-
Yeah, come back when you discover a way to make levelling from scratch two more times fun. Then I might listen to you. Until then, good on Bungie for making life on the Tower easier.
-
Don't buy it then. It's not that hard
-
1 AntwortenDidn't know that paying 44$ in the uk is a 'micro' transaction

9 AntwortenBearbeitet von Din: 12/17/2015 12:31:41 AMNot even close to a slippery slope. Offering convenience to new customers. Don't you think having more people in the game will benefit you as well?

3 Antworteni honestly think bungie is putting this in here to specifically try to encourage new players to skip y1 in general, because it was that bad, with exception to vault of glass. The just want to sweep the dust under the rug and forget it ever happened.
-
3 AntwortenI was fine with emotes. I was fine with the masks. I was even fine with sparrows. I would even be fine with a level 25 boost, as we all received these Sparks of Light when TTK came out for the most part. But I'm not okay with the subclass boosts. It's one step away from pay-to-win with weapons and armor. And yeah, if you sit next to Tess Everis right now, she says "we don't sell weapons or armor here Guardian", but honestly Bungie can change that whenever they want. They are testing the waters. Don't buy into it.
-
2 AntwortenBuying that does not give anyone an advantage over me.. They don't get anything faster than I would, no weapons, no armor.. Nada
-
1 AntwortenTechnically they said there would be only cosmetics in the Silver Store. They didn't say anything about PSN / Microsoft store. Cleaver cleaver creature....
-
8 AntwortenThe amount of people defending microtransactions is depressing, I honesty thought people were smarter then this but it seems like most people are okay being -blam!-ed over by microtransactions. They all use the excuse that 'your not forced' or it's just 'cosmetic' or a million other bs excuses. They all lead to the same place, download a micro transaction heavy game to your phone, don't spend any money and tell me how fun it is, most all of them will have you wait, or in rngs case give you the shit of the bottom of the barrel. Most of them don't even have real gameplay, -blam!- it just watch the episode about them on South Park it does an alright explanation and I don't have the time explain this shit that your common sense should tell you is wrong,
-
I am eating my words - I never thought they would monetize in this manner. I'm disappointed, and I am not sure I'll play Destiny going forward
