Great, so we go an entire month without Iron Banner for some craptastic racing on two tracks
Thanks Bungie. That's definitely what I wanted to do over my holiday break, drive your half arsed Wipeout bikes across the two tracks you bothered to make while you all sit in front of a screen hitting refresh on your bank accounts as people buy sparrows and record books.
You promised us Iron Banner in December. I don't think most people expected you to mean in the last two days of December. Of you really launch it after SRL ends on Dec 29th, it will be a full six weeks in between Banner runs.
You're obviously not going to put out legitimate content any more, just gimmick events, and that's enough garbage to deal with, so delaying events that we actually do consistently enjoy is way over the top.
Want a TL;DR?
Sparrow racing is garbage and it's unacceptable that our Iron Banner got shoved back three weeks for it.

I agree IB should have come they could have run both at the same time but, with the SRL it's all about how much money they can grab from this before they shut down for the holidays. I've posted this already but I'll say again, I went in and got enough stuff to get all three characters helmets and class items to 320, I was just waiting for IB to come. Looks like it's another two week break, pretty much done with the racing now. Will only be back for IB moving forward.

Iron Banner is the only way i will ever get any character over 310 because i simply do not enjoy the raiding. There is something fun and exciting about getting teleported by Atheon or running through 100s of thralls to get to the bridge but i found nothing fun about Oryx. It might be more fun with a clan of guys i know personally or have played online with for a long time but so far it hasn't worked out like that. I enjoy the alternative way to reach 320 through the events. The regular everyday Crucible has such a horrible reward system its almost like a cruel joke. You can play 20 matches in a row and maybe you will get a 285 purple handcannon or a couple motes. Horrible.

1 AntwortenThey probably just delayed IB a week to have it fall during the timeframe when everyone is out of school which would result in a greater number of people playing on a daily basis... Unless I've missed something and they have said there is no December IB.

I'll start by saying I'm disappointed that Iron Banner is delayed too. But what's so "craptastic" about having unlimited chances at a 320 helmet or 320 class item? Last I checked, the only way prior for those two particular items was from the raid which can only be ran 3 times a week. I can get 10 trys or me in on SRL before even one of those raids are completed. Just saying. Enjoy the opportunities for 320 gear.
