Heard a rumor that I am trying to substantiate or refute: there will not be an Iron Banner until the Sparrow Racing League is done. Apparently, Bungie sent out this little butt-nugget by tweet.
FOR F UCK SAKE, BUNGIE, STOP TWEETING IMPORTANT INFORMATION. Twice - TWICE! - now you've told us you would no longer use Twitter as the primary or sole mode for giving us important information. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/176385958/0/0/1
Edit: Confirmed. See Lost Sols' link to the tweet. Bungie is shooting themselves in the foot. They can't actually think that we'll be entertained on TWO MAPS for another TWO WEEKS, can they?
Edit 2: I really like the racing - though it needs A LOT of work. If Bungie were smart, they would have released SRL for only one week, gotten people hooked on it, taken the feedback we generated (see here: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/179424753/0/0), improved the racing mechanics, added a map or two, and then release it again - new and improved - in another month. In the meantime, we could have run the Iron Banner. Win, win! Missed opportunity by Bungle. Shocker.

1 AntwortenYou mean you HAVENT made a twitter account just to follow Bungie, just in case they weren't being entirely honest about not releasing important news via twitter? You mean after having to use third party sites to raid, you didn't bother to use a third party site for news? Yeah me neither. Destiny has dropped dramatically in importance to me. Might have if I'd known this information a year+ ago, but then again with what I know now Destiny may not even have been a purchase.

1 AntwortenIron banner is back the 29th..
-
1 AntwortenI can't wait to get my hands on some of that Playstation exclusive Iron Banner gear
-
1 AntwortenThere is no reason why we can't have two events running at the same time. If they want to make these events fun, you have to let the other constant events play out as usual.
-
1 AntwortenI find IB to be old and uninspired and srl to be two weeks too long. Now, if they had a rotation of events every week or every other week, that would be cool in my book.
-
6 AntwortenDefinitely prefer ib over srl. It has been fun, and a nice way to get some infusion mats. However, ib is the boss. In the end, I suppose it won't impact me too much. I will have three days off that week, so I'll be ok. For others who are not as fortunate, the delay sort of stinks.

6 AntwortenCome on. Who cares. It's supposed to be fun. You pvp bitches have had IB for a year.
-
1 AntwortenIt's because there's money to be made with sparrow racing, iron banner not so much. Mystery solved, no need to call Scooby and the gang for this one.
-
1 AntwortenThank god. I'm barely rank 2 at SRL. No way I can do all raids, quests, night falls, SRL and IB.
-
12 AntwortenCarnival cries a lot. Someone get a firehouse to wash the sand out of his vagina. Negro do you pay rent? Car note? School and or a job. Those that gotta work 40 plus hours a week plus other stuff like events too!
-
4 AntwortenCare not about iron banner... PvE hasn't gotten any special events like this since the first time queens wrath popped up in vanilla. I'm sure you'll survivie a little longer without IB.. Trials will still be around for the PvP tryhards at least.
-
9 AntwortenIt's true.. Whiners will cry about ANYTHING here. Ib is 2 weeks away. Cripes.

5 AntwortenBearbeitet von bobswerski: 12/16/2015 3:11:25 PMSeriously dude, you need to chill out. I've been seeing your posts and you are getting entirely too worked up over this game. 3 weeks might be too long, but 1 week would definitely have been too short for SRL, particularly since raid challenge mode started at the same time. It's not like IB is gone forever, just pushed back 1-2 weeks. A lot of people would probably not have been able to do it in the middle of December anyway due to the holidays so it's entirely possible IB would have been then whether SRL existed or not.

2 AntwortenIron banner opens up on the 29th
-
19 AntwortenYeah sure, let's have a 1 week only event in the run up to Christmas, people have jobs dude. You can't expect people to be able to sink in a full weeks effort into an event that's on a trial run, especially with the gear it's offering.
-
1 AntwortenI'm rather have IB. Thought the drops last time were much approved over the weekend. I had nothing until about Friday but the got some rather good drops plus a ship.

10 AntwortenBearbeitet von PuRe Messoric: 12/15/2015 7:15:59 PMGUYS, IB is coming out on December 29th, calm down people. Do you even look up your own info or just follow whoever swears the most until they go off a cliff with the rest of you lemmings.
-
4 AntwortenNot diggin it. I like srl, but it loses its flavor real quick. As much as I want to get my hands on some high level infusion fuel, I'm not going to drive in circles on two maps for two more weeks for it.
-
1 AntwortenAgain with the Twitter bullshit.. How about you update us here? That would be smart thing to do. ESPECIALLY since we were already told more effort would be made. What a freaking joke.
-
3 AntwortenIB will come back after they add in silver and pay-to-win functionality to it. For now, We get to race sparrows against other guardians that paid to be faster.
-
1 AntwortenBungie wants people to grind on the srl and that is what is happening right now. They want that players invest time in a two track racing freemium event so they can report that it was a huge success. If IB had been released, srl player base would have reduced to minimum. I am not going to go into the relevance of sparrow racing in a shooting game but it is suffice to say that Bungie is perhaps the only company in the world that is successfully ruining their own game and driving people away.
-
1 AntwortenIron Banner on 29th is good timing, more people are free to play.
-
1 AntwortenEdit 2 is absolutely spot on
-
3 AntwortenReally? I was wondering where it was. My bro was playing and I was like "did they skip IB"?
