It's the only thing people seem to be divided on in education. People don't get upset in math class because the teacher is using y=mx+b. People don't get upset in political science class when they talk about the Constitution. They don't get upset in Literature class when they teach the structure of a Shakespearean Sonnet.
Even other things in science are undisputed. Nobody's mad over the Periodic Table. Nobody's mad over Cell Theory. Nobody's mad over DNA.
What is it about Evolution, specifically, that gets people all wacky?

13 AntwortenMy Pikachu evolving into Raichu is evidence that evolution does in fact exist.

50 AntwortenBearbeitet von C-Sentinel: 12/21/2015 10:06:14 PMBecause god exists. 2000 years ago, people didn't even know what the sun was. Jesus and other prophets preached and wrote in the bible that the world would end in fire. 2000 years later, we know that the world will eventually end in fire due to the sun. 2000 years ago, people though earth was then only planet. In the book of genesis in the bible, it was written that god created the EARTHS, even though they had no comprehension of astronomy. 2000 years later, we are finding planets that are similar to earth. Theology is not the act of knowing there is a god, but rather believing that there is a god. Thay belief has been confirmed through scientific discovery, some of which I pointed out previously. I believe in god. What if there is no god? No one will smite me for believing in god. But what if you are an atheist? You are entitled to your own belief (or anti belief), but what if you're wrong. More so for those who aren't passive atheists and rather attempt to convert others and slader other religions. For me, the job of science is to prove my religion true, and others false, which it has done. It has debunked Islam, Hinduism, and the Greek and Roman religions. It's yet to provide enough proof to prove christianity false. Even the way we tell years is based on christianity. If proving every thing true or false through science was possible, metaphysics and philosophy would not exist. If an anti-theist is wrong, then they are wrong, simply because they choose to bind themselves to laws of the world they study. A theist cannot be wrong, since they are not attempting to know, or understand. They simply believe. Belief is an opinion, and an opinion is something no scientist or alchemist can prove wrong. That, is a fact.

Because people are dumb

1 AntwortenIt's religion sir. That is the end all and be all of this stupidity. Not most but the crazy ones that do believe God just popped us here as humans first. On day 7 and then he buried dinosaur bones for humans to find. Those people scare the crap out of me.

I felt a great rustle in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly Rustled. I fear something terrible has happened.

Why do you make posts like this? Do you enjoy reading cringe worthy statements?

45 AntwortenBefore either side goes any farther... Each side should prove itself. I am a creationist in middle school who just learned all this. I am a very observant person and do my research. So far I have found nothing that proves evidence of evolution. I have evidence of creationism but I want to hear the evidence to evolution first.
-
The reason people don't accept evolution is because it takes time and effort to understand, unlike creationism, which gives the illusion of Knowledge without having to learn anything.
-
I avoid going on #offtopic because I always find this madmax prick purposefully (whether he will admit it or not) trying to stir arguments. Usually between creationists and non-creationists.

1 AntwortenEvolution is a theory that they teach as fact. And it's relatively new and people demand it be true

46 AntwortenGod made the earth try disproving that.

5 Antwortenmad come back to me after watching this video which proves god through science lol your scientists are completely contradictory

2 AntwortenI'm indifferent when it comes to evolution. It doesn't affect my daily life and it doesn't conflict with my religious beliefs. Therefore, I really don't care.

5 AntwortenBearbeitet von Meow (Adept): 12/23/2015 8:33:41 PMBecause I won't believe it until it's proven to be a true fact. Right now it's only a theory which means it is an educated guess supported by facts but is not necessarily true. So once scientists can prove that it is absolutely positively true, then I will believe it. Until then, the only evolution I will support is Pokemon evolution.
