I love this game and I'm still playing but so many I play with have left already. The reasons they leave or lose interest do make sense to me, so I gathered the those reasons and made this video.
I'd sure like Bungie make the much needed changes. Most seem so simple and yet aren't even acknowledged.
Of course there are many more problems, feel free to add them in this thread (I can make a follow up if the community wants one)
TL:DR - Read the comments in the video :) Seems that most players agree.
Thanks for your time.

Bearbeitet von wickedwahine808: 12/14/2015 11:54:31 PMAll the elements were there to make the game amazing. My take on Destiny is poor direction from the top because it sure isn't the lack of creativity or talents. Firing or dismissing iconic employees indicated disagreements at the core of the studio. Without judging the reasons, I did not see the outcome being positive. Much sadness to see those core talents no longer contributing and sharing their talents together. As a result, the direction the game is taking for the years to come is unknown. Trying to please everyone is very difficult. Overall, I'm glad to be a casual gamer without the required hours available to dedicate hundreds or thousands of hours into the game. I enjoy it in moderation and without many of the disappointments more competitive players are currently having. I'm hoping for the FPS genre to be a prevalent element in future Destiny, weapon handling and game mechanics are amazing and I was never a loot game aficionado. A story would be helpful and welcome as well, a reason to care a little about the beautiful world of Destiny. That said, my opinion is most likely shared with a minority of players as the core audience is not made of adults with busy lives. ;) #NeverForgetMotS

Agree with everything except unintentional red bars being cheaters. Cheating is the intentional exploitation of outside arena mechanisms to achieve victory (at least in the definition I accept). Bungie could solve most unintentional red bars with dedicated servers, which they can easily afford. There really isn't any excuse not to have them other than saving them for a selling point for Destiny 2.

You are much kinder than I could ever be at this point. I'm one of the ones that has mostly left (I've played twice in the last 3 weeks, and will run nightfall tonight with some friends). My newest perspective is that there is almost nothing from Taken King that was good. They somehow made the light levelling system worse. Drops are worse. They took everything bad from year one and expanded them. Time grinding is worse. Drops now have even more RNG levels to them. Just thinking about Destiny makes me angry. It might be time to simply get rid of the disk. It's not worth even spending time with friends while playing because there really isn't any part of the game this is fun and not a grind. And Bungie does not care.

Bearbeitet von Earth: 12/15/2015 5:04:28 AMWise words and a respectful delivery. Kudos to you sir. I would address a few more things that add chore-like experiences and luck rather than the much preferred fun and choice... Problem: Material farming or materials in general. Solution: Instead of RNG weapons/armor, allow players to earn a stock weapon/armor from specific and random activities. Then through further missions, bounties, and random drops earn perk-like "weapon/armor parts" to make their stock item unique. (Ex. A bounty that requires the player to shoot enemies in the head with a pulse rifle. Complete it, turn it in and you receive a pulse rifle "Spray & Play" upgrade part. Equip it to whatever pulse rifle of your choosing. Power to the player). Problem: Playing the same map over-and-over in multiplayer or playing on maps that a whole team doesn't want to play on. Solution: Majority map voting. Give 2-3 map options for the players to choose from and the most selected map is the one most likely to make the most players happy. Power to the player. Problem: Secretive Public Relations. Solution: The fact that Bungie has a forum for discussions and provides weekly updates is a great thing, that deserves to be acknowledged. Just be more transparent; be blunt and matter of fact about your intentions. For instance, if you need to make money through silver to support future content, show us the numbers. If we reach this goal (2,000,000 silver purchases) we can build a mini-raid for you guys. If you can't get that specific, at least respond to more post. Community managers need to go into overtime with the negative perception this game has acquired. Don't just wait a month later and say, "we hear you." I hear my boss when he tells me an idea but communication isn't clear until I respond with an affirmative, "That's a good idea, we will get on it right away, or, that might not be possible because of this and that but we will see what we can do." Problem: Lastly but nowhere near the last thing, I don't have time to explain why I don't want to play this game. Solution: Destiny's main problem is the time it takes to play. Address this issue as priority number one. The original poster address many of the issues that prolong this game into oblivion. There are more issues than what he delved into; fix those and continue that mentality with all of your future designs. I wish you the best of luck on making Destiny the best game ever to capture the gaming world.
