Just deleted my 314 Titan and 313 Hunter together with all the good stuff.
Then I uninstalled the game from my PS4, after 306 hours of gaming.
If you wonder why read on.
The reasons I did this are the following:
- Grind, grind and grind.
- RNG awards (to get you addicted).
- Lack of new content / repetetive
- Introduction of microtransactions.
- Did I mention grind?
Basically, when you (quickly) finished the limited content, you feel like a rat getting a small reward for completing the same few mazes over and over again. Is that what you really want to spend your time doing?
You might ask why I still spent so much time playing Destiny? Because I love gaming. Gaming should be fun and not feel like a chore. I still game other games, but I also spend more time with family and friends.
Bye bye, Destiny.
EDIT: I never thought so many would take time to comment on this post. Obviously I hit a nerve or does all farewell-post get hundreds of comments? I actually had much more fun in the forum, than I have had in the game for weeks. Thanks!
Respect and peace to all faithfull Destiny gamers and also to those who decided to use a short human life on other (gaming?) activities.

Why not just keep them and only play when new content is released. You dont have to grind if you dont want to.
-
I've already cut my game time on this game, and with the pre release of Ark Survival Evolved on Xbox that time will dwindle. Now that Bungie has genuinely good competition, they need to start stepping up their game in a serious way or else the playerbase will undoubtedly tank.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Prism: 12/15/2015 4:14:49 PMHaha I am a 314 warlock and won't work on my other two classes until my main warlock since day one is 320. it gives me more game time and you deleted them well good luck to more grind when if a new dlc comes our or Destiny 2 as confirmed all items etc and light level characters are transferred.
-
This is how they work u arnt cut out for it and destiny is the easiest and least grind of them all
-
Who cares, you can leave the forms now to.
-
If the game is no longer fun there is no reason to keep playing it. To come on and post a big to do about leaving though is just looking for attention. I seriously doubt if any one will know if and when I quit playing the game.
-
I have felt like doing the same, but instead I now only do the raid challenge each week.
-
Because Titans are bad

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Jersey: 12/14/2015 10:06:13 PMWhile I respect your opinion and your decision to quit the game, I think it was a bad move to quit AND delete. What happens if/when they release the next DLC and it appeals to you? If you want to play again you'll have to start all over :(

5 AntwortenI want to delete the game. I'm addicted but bungie is really pissing me off. Bo3 is way more fun and not the exact same stuff every DLC.

Bearbeitet von Combatmedic73: 12/15/2015 10:13:39 AMI would not have spent 306 hours on the game if I did not enjoy it at least part of the time. Sure the game got my sucked in, but you realise after a while the pointless repetetive grinding for a little bit better gear. Animal studies and psychology studies have found out that animals and humans respond the most (read: risk to get addicted) to rewards that are random in time (not given at a regular intervall) and size (Exotic this time? Or is it a 320?) . Does that sound like Destiny to you? You don't really need much new content as long follow those principles. The best example is the reintro of the Y1 weapons taken away and "given back". It is a free world. Mine is the choice to critizie a gaming company I have given lots of money (*) to. Maybe more people open their eyes to this way of making games. And maybe Bungie makes better games? (*) In Norway we had to buy the whole TTK again for 80$ even if I had the full Destiny game. No cheap DLC available. Also 10$ for a useless SRL-book.

2 Antworten306....lol. Filthy casual....Seriously though good for you, I'm at the point where I do my raid runs then I'm done for another week, pretty much just waiting for the division.

300 hours? N00b

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Combatmedic73: 12/15/2015 8:14:52 AMA lot have commented that 306 hours is nothing in gametime. Compared to many of you it is very little, but for someone with a busy job, two kids, wife and friends to keep happy, 306 hours is tons of time... That is 3 hours every night for 102 days. 3 hours in a hectic everyday life are valuable hours. I used many of them on Destiny. Now I want to use it on something more giving than this stale (and addicting) game.

Sounds like you're trying to justify a decision you now regret
-
I'm glad you only spent 300 hours in this game some people have over 1K hours in it

1 AntwortenEnd of the day it is a game. There will be others. Some bad some good. Good luck on your next virtual adventure, may your blade be sharp and your bullets fly true. I don't get why gamers all go at each other I mean we are a community right?
-
Never go full retard but it's a little late for me to tell you this. And only 306 hours and someone mention you haven't even completed all your hm on the two other raids and Poe and then you complain about running out of content.

Game is literally built on lies and nothing else good job leaving. I pvp alittle buts it's trash nowadays so only trials on the weekends for this game.

2 AntwortenLol so start another game with another grind..

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Gunslinger: 12/14/2015 9:48:26 PMCongrats, you broke the addiction. I'm on the patch. I'm down to a few hours a day now.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Classy Snowman: 12/14/2015 10:39:03 PMPlay what you want. Play what you think is fun. You don't think Destiny is your cup of tea? Fair enough. Don't play it! You love Destiny more than anything? Nice. Play on! I hope you find the fun you're looking for in another game. We're all gamers and should all want the best for each other. Thanks for being part of the community.

Yeah people tend to get salty whenever people insult their favourite piece of plastic

300 hours? A grind? You're kidding right?
