This video, and other trailers, teasers, and the like, show off a wondrous game full of mystery and surprise around every corner. I remember the day I watched this reveal it BLEW my mind. I would stay up night after night until all hours watching these videos over and over again. Speculating and wondering if this was finally going to be the open world, driven, masterpiece of a game that I could really sink my teeth into with my friends. [b]Dont get me wrong: this isn't going to be a rant on me complaining about the game we got.[/b] I've been a player since the first day of beta, as well as my longtime fire team that is still together to this day. Though staggered, we still come together to speculate and wonder about the game. But what happened to all that lore? The storyline, the wonders of picking up loot and never knowing if it was going to be something fantastic? The game we have now is good, don't get me wrong. But it doesn't provide me with the sense of [b]awe[/b] or [b]wonder[/b] that simply watching these videos did. The ideas of trading, grouping up with friends and exploring, and random secrets that provide you with loot and stories to tell, where did it all go? I wished to be able to play the game and share tales of the beasts I had killed with my friends, or of [b]Charlemagne's Vault[/b] which to this day hasn't been spoken of since an interview in 2013. [b]Where did this game go?[/b] Now we have time gated exotics, a list of weapons that could probably fit on a notecard, retextured armors for different vendors, microtransactions, [b]one raid that to some might not even be worth doing due to loot.[/b] I have been playing this game nearly every day since launch. I've stuck with it through the Year 1 Trials, TDB, POE, TTK, and I doubt I'll ever really leave Destiny. But that doesn't mean I won't wonder what would have happened had this been the game that was released. There's a reason most of the video comments are people asking"[b][i]Looks cool, when does it release?"[/i][/b] [b][u]Edit 1:[/u][/b] There seems to be a lot of debate about whether or not this game is terrible or if it's 10x better now. That's not an impossible statement, I'm just saying that I think the content in that gameplay looks far more intense and spikes a sense of wonder than what we have today.
