Fellow community members I want to talk about an issue I hope we can push up to the ears of Bungie. I do not want to see RNG used while I spend my hard earned money on micro transactions. I am a player who can 100% get behind spending cash on cosmetic items for a game I love but I want to know what I am paying for. We all wanted to buy the flaming skull mask from the festival of the lost, I would have dropped $5 easy to buy it but it wasn't an option. Instead you had to essentially gamble on packages until you got one if you even did. The same thing is happening with SRL. Bungie has created some bad ass sparrows I would be more than happy to buy, but I don't want to spend money on multiple packages hoping it's the one I want. If I don't want a pink sparrow and would never equip it why should it be a reward I spend my money on?
I hope you can all bump this and keep it live until we get a change. Sound off guardians your voice matters. Thank you.
Update 1: thanks for all the support guys. I feel this is an important issue and needs to be voiced by as many as possible. I request everyone willing to create there own posts with the title "No RNG in micro transactions PERIOD" this is up to us. I only ask that we keep the conversation respectful. Thanks again
Update 2: 200 replies guys! Let's keep this going. I'd like to mention to the comments that other games do this. That is true but it doesn't make it right and I don't want it in our game. Bump for consumer friendly transactions.
Update 3: 300 replies wait to go guardians! Please don't forget to like the thread that way we can get this on the highest rated tab as well. Also I think it's time to double down on our efforts. Take to social media and tweet @bungie @deej @cosmo #no RNG in micro transactions. Remember though this is a righteous cause so stay respectful. Again you guys rock!
Update 4: we made it to 400 replies guys keep sounding off here, in the feedback section and on social media if you can. For those saying "suck it up it won't change" I say look at the fact that sparrow racing even exists. It's because we were vocal about wanting it and Bungie delivered. They do listen guys you just have to make your voice heard.
Update 5: this is insane guys we just broke 600 replies you all clearly want a change and if Bungie wants the money we bring to the table I hope they are listening. We are all valuable customers and want to support the game we love. We just don't want to be taken for a ride while doing it. Keep bumping

6 AntwortenI think all microtransactions should be RNG.

Bump bumpity bump!

I don't always do this but.... B U M P U M M U P M U B

1 AntwortenI agree entirely. I also dislike the random emote packs as a concept.
-
I remember a time when I bought the game knowing what it was gonna be about, all the incentives making it a really good time and enjoyable game, then It was released and it only held a few similarities, damn straight you should get it random.
-
Yep gambling hooks via a console game marketed at kids, scummy business tactics.
-
Well written, and I agree with you. I love the RNG aspect of the game, but not for real money.

9 AntwortenThe only sparrow that is even remotely pure rng is the black/orange one. You get 1 sparrow given to you per character, not including the snowscream, and the box that gets you the newer sparrows has a very high chance to give you a sparrow you don't already own. I got all the sparrows and the book plus many horns for ~$30. Considering the cost of micro transactions in other mmo type games, this is cheap.

2 AntwortenI'ts designed like that on purpose. It's in a way like a slot machine you put your money in and you pull the handle and hope you get something good. Unfortunately it's a business and since they know there are morons out there that will keep buying silver until they get what they are looking for this won't change. I bought one package and thank god it was a good one because I didn't plan on spending anymore of my money on something that was a gamble.
-
1 AntwortenAgreed. I still bought all of them because I'm a collector.
-
Completely agree but they set it up that way to make more money unfortunately
-
2 AntwortenAt the very least, you should be guaranteed to not get duplicates of stuff you already own. That's just offensive.
-
2 AntwortenCompletely agree. The only way it should be random is if it is at a heavily discounted price, or maybe a pack. 1/4 the price of a sparrow to make it a random role, sure. Maybe double the price for a random pack of 5, sure. But paying that much for randomness is complete BS.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Watcher1905: 12/14/2015 10:38:40 PMYes fully agreed. I do also think they are slightly pricey. Being able to pick which one i want, i would get it though. In this current state i've never even considered paying anything for these races or that previous halloween thing. Same way i wouldn't pay for a random box in a shop if i didn't know what's in it, it makes no sense.

1 AntwortenI would have gladly put down my money for the blue skull, but i wasn't about to gamble for it. Getting rid of RNG from microtransactions is a great idea.
-
1 AntwortenThis. So much this. I was totally willing to spend money to get all of the speeders (especially since the one the quest dropped for me is the ugliest one possible), until I found out that it's rng. I want to be certain of what I'm getting. Therefore, I will be spending nothing after all.
-
I agree in a game what I have already purchase I should spend money for a CHANCE to get something. We should know exactly what we are getting
-
1 AntwortenI agree times a million. The fact that people paid a lot of money and didn't get that mask. And there's noobs that got it for free is beyond dumb af. I would never spend money in this game. But that mask I would of bought that mask. That's some bull sheeeet
-
1 AntwortenBecause rng was broke from the time it was written and with the expansions has only gotten worse due to an overfilled inventory
-
2 AntwortenWelcome to the online casino that is Destiny!
-
I AGREE SO MUCH. My friend just raged so hard cause he got a pink sparrow with his own money.
-
1 AntwortenThis is pretty much the first against micro transactions post I agree with. Your argument makes sense
-
I've only bought an emote, but I completely agree Bump
-
1 AntwortenI agree - I am willing to spend real world cash for a specific sparrow - I AM NOT going to pay for a chance at the sparrow I want - Sorry Bungie not going to happen
