Fellow community members I want to talk about an issue I hope we can push up to the ears of Bungie. I do not want to see RNG used while I spend my hard earned money on micro transactions. I am a player who can 100% get behind spending cash on cosmetic items for a game I love but I want to know what I am paying for. We all wanted to buy the flaming skull mask from the festival of the lost, I would have dropped $5 easy to buy it but it wasn't an option. Instead you had to essentially gamble on packages until you got one if you even did. The same thing is happening with SRL. Bungie has created some bad ass sparrows I would be more than happy to buy, but I don't want to spend money on multiple packages hoping it's the one I want. If I don't want a pink sparrow and would never equip it why should it be a reward I spend my money on?
I hope you can all bump this and keep it live until we get a change. Sound off guardians your voice matters. Thank you.
Update 1: thanks for all the support guys. I feel this is an important issue and needs to be voiced by as many as possible. I request everyone willing to create there own posts with the title "No RNG in micro transactions PERIOD" this is up to us. I only ask that we keep the conversation respectful. Thanks again
Update 2: 200 replies guys! Let's keep this going. I'd like to mention to the comments that other games do this. That is true but it doesn't make it right and I don't want it in our game. Bump for consumer friendly transactions.
Update 3: 300 replies wait to go guardians! Please don't forget to like the thread that way we can get this on the highest rated tab as well. Also I think it's time to double down on our efforts. Take to social media and tweet @bungie @deej @cosmo #no RNG in micro transactions. Remember though this is a righteous cause so stay respectful. Again you guys rock!
Update 4: we made it to 400 replies guys keep sounding off here, in the feedback section and on social media if you can. For those saying "suck it up it won't change" I say look at the fact that sparrow racing even exists. It's because we were vocal about wanting it and Bungie delivered. They do listen guys you just have to make your voice heard.
Update 5: this is insane guys we just broke 600 replies you all clearly want a change and if Bungie wants the money we bring to the table I hope they are listening. We are all valuable customers and want to support the game we love. We just don't want to be taken for a ride while doing it. Keep bumping

kinda the same as sports games with their card packs or cod and halo with req/care packages. either way i don't support either and don't think destiny should include them.

2 AntwortenI agree with you that if Bungie is going to implement micro-transactions, then they should't make it randomized. But I personally believe micro-transactions are just -blam!-ed up. Think about it, you can pay money for masks, sparrows, emotes, horns, etc and you would have spent just as much as on a new video game. Your paying for so little content compared to a large amounts of content that can satisfy you longer for less money than just some stupid cosmetics. Seriously they're just 1s and 0s on screen amusing you, that's it.

1 AntwortenBump, I do not want this game to evolve into RNG micro-transactions WoW / Clash of Clans wallet siphon. Activision has already impeded the potential greatness of Destiny with their greed. Bungie is slowly recovering from those earlier debacles in year one and we cannot allow Activision cash cow grubby paws to ruin "Our" Destiny. Power to The People!!!!!!!

1 AntwortenI would be fine with the occasional purchase if my item wasn't determined by RNG

1 AntwortenIt's just insulting to be offered such a thing

1 AntwortenI spent $20 on horn kits to get the lightrunner. Kinda pissed but then agai. $20 is half of what i paid for a steak dinner yesterday.

2 AntwortenEncouraged with purchases from previous festival.. You all bought the silver with no guarentee of the skull initially; so you told Bungie this was fine, so they did it again.

1 AntwortenIf it was for decent gear that gives you an advantage I could understand why RNG would be acceptable, but cosmetic items shouldn't be a gamble

1 AntwortenPink sparrow is lyfe❤❤❤

1 AntwortenI would gladly throw a five at the screen if I knew what sparrow I was getting.

1 AntwortenWhat would you say if they keep the RNG items available but offer them as well individually for 1.5x - 2x the cost? You pay extra to get exactly what you want. Would people be okay with that?

8 AntwortenAny other game and this isn't a problem, because it's destiny people just like to bitch.

1 AntwortenDisclaimer I did not read the post but if you don't want RNG in microtransactions it's very important not to buy any if those so they don't get money for them
-
1 AntwortenCompletely agree. RNG in micro transactions is promotion of gambling pure and simple. Terrible terrible precedent to be setting for the kids playing this game (there are many) and all round just a sleazy thing to do.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von montythedeadgoat: 12/15/2015 3:22:35 PMThere is NO RNG for money. You buy silver with your cash, you are getting exactly what is described. You swap silver for a mystery bag, again you are getting exactly what is described. You open the mystery bag and get one of a number of possible items, again exactly what is described. Then people complain that the game is not "psychic" and won't give them what they want because they think it is cool.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Elon Shmusk: 12/15/2015 7:12:49 PMRight? Friend bought just 1 horn pack and got the sparrow. I bought 8 and didn't get it. My other friend bought 12 and still didn't get it

6 AntwortenHave you ever done any of the following? -Played a Collectible Card Game -Collected Sports Cards -Collected Sports Stickers -Bought something like a Funko Pop Mystery Mini If you ever done one or more of these things....then congrats, you've participated in Real World Money for RNG Items. Seriously, this is on the level of those things. I've spent more money than I can remember on Magic The Gathering, on Basketball Cards when I was a kid, Football Stickers too....its all RNG. You dont know what you're going to get, you have odds....but until you open it, it's all blind. I seriously don't why suddenly since Bungie's done it....that it's Evil, Reprehensible and Preposterous that we should pay money for a chance at a certain set of items. Destiny fans are seriously warped.
