It already got nerfed, it's good but still balanced right now, also it's a HC, it's ok if it outguns something at mid range, not to say it's that effective at mid range but it does have the ability to be. Your probably just tired of getting countered while shotty rushing people.

It does take skill to handle it properly most people try and use it like an auto rifle that's why every one finds chaparone quest difficult. If you have it equipped during sparrow races your percentage goes up like you were playing crucible
