think about the way other games do micro transactions and DLC's. think about how bungie decided to basically say "hey, this money we're getting is going to fund future events! and DLC!" but this isn't even real content nor is it even remotely close to DLC. This is stuff they had all drawn up and ready to go already and time gated and put on a schedule to make you think they actually put work into coding all of these experiences for you. what bungie did was promise us real content but what they actually gave us were empty promises. like waking up on Christmas morning to getting a few pairs of socks from santa. and then you go to school the next day and realize Santa loves rich kids a whole lot more than he loves you.
the reality of the situation is that most other games use money from the one time purchase of a season pass to fund years of content. look at titles like fallout 4 (bethesda said they'd be funding the next two two years worth of fallout 4 DLC with the money from their $30 season passes) , ESO, GTA V (completely free DLC), Battlefield 4, etc. the list goes on and on.
what could possibly make the situation worse? this content which we are paying way more than we should be for is actually being hidden behind a pay wall. there should be no pay wall. anybody from year 1 who owns TTK has paid at least $100 to play this game for the last year. a single year!even the most widely known money Grubbing company (EA) doesn't take things this far guys. wake up. they do micro transactions too, but at least most of the stuff they sell, you can earn though just playing the game (like fifa coins, packs, etc.).
TLDR: we, as gamers, need to wake up to this corporate tomfoolery and stop being taken advantage of. stop throwing your money away because it's hurting this game more and more each day. maybe you don't think it's being wasted, but it's definitely not being put to good use. and you could get more bang from your buck doing other things with the money you're throwing at a screen with a picture of destiny on it. how do you do this you ask? don't pre-order destiny 2 or any paid DLC! and don't immediately buy it after release. wait a few days first and see what other people think of it. make informed purchases. and the problem will eventually get better.

5 AntwortenWhy do people even care? If Joe Shmoe buys an emote does that affect your game at all? No.
-
Each of those games have had at least 4 different game releases. U can't compare on that alone.
-
I wish they had microtransactions for stuff that i would actually use...like sparks of light or something to level up a subclass cause grinding that stuff is boring Ive never spent money on emotes and sparrow racing was a flop imo, thats sh!ts boring
-
I'm pretty sure it's Activision that has steered Bungie's roadmap for microtransactions.

1 AntwortenHave you seen Evolve that game charges 2 dollars for a color on your gun that you probably won't even see it

It's actually Activisions fault. You know, the same guys that did Call of Duty: AW...

20 AntwortenYou spend a lot of time playing Destiny, and you see these friendly posts from Deej, and you start thinking Bungie are your friends, so you're understandably upset and betrayed when you discover they're in it to make money. Listen kid, I've played Bungie games since Marathon and Myth, I love them, but they are now and always have been a business. They need to make money to stay afloat. I have gotten more hours of enjoyment from Destiny than from any other game I've ever played, so the $100+ I paid for the game and the DLCs have been very well-spent entertainment dollars. I haven't bought any of the emotes or the rest, but if other people want to spend their money that way, more power to them. Young people (and old, although if you're still bitching about this at my age you must be a little stupid) who are outraged at Bungie really need to set down the controller and go out there in the world. There is REAL SHIT going on that you can spend your outrage on. War, climate change, poverty, disease... take your pick, little brother. And if you think Bungie is ripping you off, stop buying their stuff. But all these posts full of outrage at Bungie violating players are ridiculous. They never owed us anything to begin with.

I have heard good things about the division(alpha)....Im hoping Wildlands is good...its suppose to be vast. I never played online really until Destiny. I started with a ton of guys, now there is 3 of us left. Some come back from time to time, but have moved on and are no longer wasting money. I play mainly because of the guys I mentioned, but we all pray the other two are good games and will provide the team feel. As far as this, I bought the book(I work, 5 year old plays on mine too with neighbor), but I got nothing for it and it seems you can get stuff anyway without it. I wont pay for anything else and I will wait until I hear something about the next DLC.....these DLCs have lacked content and Im tired of getting things like 290 tolestos on my 309 hunter. This game is getting worse, regardless of what people want to brag about. All the good things are being ruined by the makers...its sad really.
To begin with, Activision gets no money from Microtransactions. Feel free to look up and read their contract yourself, anyways, This isn't pay to win this is Pay for a time saver. Games that are pay to win are Clash of Clans, Warframe, Never Winter, EVE. Pay to win means if you dont pay you will be at a disadvantage to players that payed. So please tell me how Lv 40 310+ light players would be at disadvantage to level 25 150 light players, oh wait, you can't because we wouldn't be. This game is not pay to win. Im sorry if this this "JRPG" is the only one you have played, please take off your tin foil hat and play other games before you comment. You are part of the reason why the Destiny community is hated so much.
If only at least Bungie will fuck you and apologize with decent fixes eventually. EA straight up lied about Battlefront. The let DICE shit all over that game. Please get out of here with your stupidity, you're making the Desticles here look good

Comparing a Developer to a Publisher never works.

Your TL;DR was TL;DR. EA sucks big veiny dong.

you know what Activision is, right?

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Deterministic J: 12/14/2015 4:24:46 AMEA and DICE still takes the cake on this one. Releases a completely broken game to the point where Microsoft actually had to offer refunds, which, if you don't know, they NEVER do. It's even on the disc that there are no refunds. Fixes all of it almost a year later then releases another crap game to replace it.

EA is bad and as ridiculous as bungies rotation system is, EA is much worse. in the late 90s - early 2000s EA was just dirty,. the only thing different now is they fear how far they can push people before sales plummet
