Should the amazing games KOTOR and KOTOR 2 be remastered?
My opinion I think they should using the same graphics engine that Battlefront used so it would look amazingly beautiful. I would easily pay $100 for each of those games once remastered.
What do you guys think?

One of the very few remasters i actually want, Phil Spencer (Xbox boss) and Peter Moore (EA) actually talked about it very recently. It is really sad that i want a remaster rather than a new one since i know they are gonna -blam!- it up.

1 Antwortenhttps://mobile.twitter.com/petermooreEA/status/674374009652318208 Phil Spencer and Peter Moore spoke of it, nothing confirmed but enough to make me excited at the possibility!

18 AntwortenCan we please stop asking for rehashes of old ideas? We should be doing the exact opposite of that. Those games were fantastic, but let's move on to bigger things.

Why not swg?

1 AntwortenThat moderator name is fitting for this topic. I also vote yes!

4 AntwortenIf remaking them would make them part of the new canon, I am all for it.
-
13 AntwortenThose games suck lol
-
3 AntwortenHow about a proper canon star wars game that takes place after the battle of Endor? Maybe on Jakku or Takadana? Possibly explore prequel locations after the falling of the second deathstar?
-
Kotr = remaster kortr 2 = complete remake real conplete story and game
-
Yes 100%

12 AntwortenUpgraded engine, maybe add in a revamped combat option

3 AntwortenNever played KOTOR *prepares for barrage of shock*

1 AntwortenPart of me wants this, the other part doesn't. Remastering the game could kill it. It would ruin the atmosphere easily.
-
They'd find a way to ruin them, so no.

1 AntwortenThis needs to be made, NOW.

4 AntwortenDidn't read op. Automatic yes.
-
8 AntwortenYes a remaster would be good. Or maybe even KOTOR 3?

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von Carmine100: 12/13/2015 2:09:45 AMI found a link, that a remake is in the works and might come out Q3 2016. I can find it for you if you want???, but it's a rumour

4 AntwortenI'd love to see a remake of the first two titles and see if they can tether them into the current canon. I'd honestly, at this point, be comfortable with slight changes and the like, much in the way Square is handling FF7's remake as the games haven't aged in the best way. It could reinvigorate a desire for a third title as well.
-
1 AntwortenYes, this should happen and not in some stupid HD port
-
3 AntwortenI remember when I was a kid that I couldn't beat kotor because I was scared of the under water part of Manaan. I beat kotor 2 before the first one lol.
-
3 AntwortenYes. I have kotor 1 on my phone.
-
9 AntwortenYou should talk to Bioware about that. Odds are they'll never do it but instead (and rightfully so) focus on Mass Effect where they don't have to deal with any of the canon from the SW universe. FWIW, I've got KOTOR loaded up on my tablet...its been out for a while now. Plays like the original except that the TIE Fighter escape sequences can be a real pain with on-screen controls! Instead of remaking an older scripted title like KOTOR I'd rather see Star Wars 1313 get finished and maybe a complete reboot & retooling of X-Wing vs TIE Fighter with an emphasis on character development, PVP engagements and rewards from large scale clan (call them squadrons for this) based operations.
-
4 AntwortenI'd rather enforce the idea and focus primarily on KOTOR 3 rather then a re-master.
-
1 AntwortenThat was one of the only game I felt completely sucked in. Like Skyrim before Skyrim. I still have them.
