How to do trick in SRL?

The PlayStation exclusive quest gives you a sparrow as a reward that you can do tricks on. All eververse sparrows are the same. If you can obtain your S licence you get one of them sparrows for free. Not sure if you have to do tricks for a licence I can't remember

Anyways.. if you complete the playstation exclusive (It'll be on Xbox in January) Red Bull questline you get a trick sparrow for completing the entire questline. To get the Red Bull questline you need to purchase specially marked Red Bulls that are marked with Destiny/Bungie ... I hate Red Bull personally but I bought one just for this questline a while back and got the sparrow in question. It's not bad, it's got a good boost but not very good control in my eyes. It's called the SR-1 Swiftriver **edit** I forgot to mention that to do tricks you need to be airborne... once you are in the air you can either press the D-Pad to do basic tricks or if you have a trick sparrow you can press the R1/R2 (depending on your controller configuration) then simultaneously use the left thumbstick to do rolls or flips. From what I've read you need to have the "Destabilizers" ability on your sparrow to do rolls and flips but I'm not 100% on this.
