So apparently Bungie just confirmed that they wouldn't be doing any year 2 DLC, based off the report that came out two months ago from Kokatu. We can officially bury the hatchet, folks. This game is toast. If you want to do King's Fall till Destiny 2 comes out, be my guest. Microtransactions have ruined this game. http://youtu.be/y2mwSg5iPQI
Edit: to everyone saying I didn't read the weekly update and not keeping up with the news, this post was made prior to that. In addition, even with those announced DLC's, having no new DLC-like content until spring or so? That'll have been nearly half a year of no new content other than the small additions of sparrow racing and Festival of the Lost.

6 AntwortenI know, right? how dare they take away paid dlc and instead add free content drops more frequently. Its blasphemous!
-
Right, because they just can't give time limited bonus content like Sparrow Racing and not a full DLC. Yep, game it deader than my great grandad. -blam!-ing tool.
-
2 AntwortenIf they keep giving us free content like sparrow racing then im fine
-
Or maybe... They're using this time to work on the next iteration of Destiny.
-
They are going to start releasing quests and other exotics along with other things instead of you having to buy it.

7 AntwortenBearbeitet von Piggyback: 12/9/2015 12:49:50 PMIf half the content wasn't completely redundant (VoG, Crota's and PoE for example), then I'd be satisfied without further DLC. Well, at least as satisfied as one can be with this game.

2 AntwortenI wonder how many times people are gonna say destiny is dead. They been saying g it since the dark below and there are a ton of people still playing. Lol
-
10 years already?
-
Looks like this is just a PvP game for me now.
-
Yep... they caught wind of the backlash when all year 1 gear was made obsolete. Makes no sense to drop a Dlc in 2016 cause it will all be for nothing in Destiny 2. But Bungie/Activision needs some sort of revenue until Destiny 2. They have salaries and other expenses to pay... And that's how we ended up with micro transactions...
-
They stated this when silver became a thing. Micro transactions will fund all events up in till fall of 2016 when the next large payed DLC/game destiny 2 will be released. We have nothing to pay for in till then inless you are buying silver :)
-
My opinion is that the person controlling that sparrow In the race is garbage lol... Am I the only one who saw this?
-
4 AntwortenYou do know this has been the case for a while. That's why about a month ago they updated their servers, so they can push additional monthly content. Apparently bungie is going to give us knew quests, weapons, and mini bounties to do monthly.
-
If they do this they will lose 75% of those who play as their characters will be maxed and they will have all exotics
-
Now that i know this, i don't Plan on buying destiny 2, -blam!- off... I thought this game would be great if we give them some time but nope, they shit on their playerbase and -blam!- with everyone of us to grab our money, in my opinion they have Killed destiny in year 2. When that pile of shit is the result and ttk is the Ending of destiny then Why would anyone want to buy the second game? I hate myself for buying that game in the first place on Release right now...

Do you not remember the last big article kotaku did, where he was completely wrong?, an article by these media outlets isnt confirming anything especially when they arent quoting anyone specifically. If there isnt any dlc packs like last year at this point yes it looks like it will suck but i dont think theyre ready to let this game die, they have a different game plan up their sleeve, and why dont you try to explain how microtransactions killed this, you sound like youre just following all the other whiny babies of this forum, microtransactions has not changed anything at this point, you can literally continue to play the game the way you were before.
-
1 Antworten
Microtransactions have ruined this game
And they will continue to do so until the playerbase stops blindly supporting them!
-
Bearbeitet von psat3: 12/9/2015 2:38:20 PMIt isn't micro transaction, it's the 12 yr old trailer trash that complain about 20$ which funds hundreds of hours. How many mountain dews is that? Bungie, please address this! No real dlc until next September??? Regardless of the whining here, everyone WILL wind up buying it.
-
The fact that these things aren't permanent is comical. You're going to let people spend money on these events and then take them away for extended periods of time? D**k move, Bungie. I haven't played this game for over a month. Couldn't be happier with my decision. Although you have to admit, the way they've gotten people to stick around with their bare bones game is impressive.

5 AntwortenI was really scared till I saw kotaku now I know that's all bull shit

What I hope for is free events that result in a few new stories missions and a strike or two. You know, something to keep a story going. I like sparrow racing and festival of the lost was fun for a bit, but I also want some missions. Maybe the events can lead into one another over a monthly installment or something. For example we get an event to do an event were the vex are increasing activities on Venus and we need to do some new missions or quests, and then maybe a strike. Next month get an announcement that a strong vex presence has been found at wherever and we have to go do more missions and quests to stop it. Maybe after a few months we get a update that only gives a raid. In my mind, this will keep interest in the game over a longer time span because people can regularly jump in in order to try follow the story, granted the story needs to be good. Again I hope that Bungie doesn't ignore pve for the sake of pvp, and other small events for year two. I have enjoyed pvp, and these events but events for pve will really make the game come to life.

3 AntwortenBut....... You can drive your sparrow around a rock and spend silver. Best..... Game...... Ever
be my guest
Who are you lol?

It's in the hands of the live guys, and they say no monolithic dlc, that's not to say they won't have content. This forum chases its own tail sometimes

25 AntwortenCommunity: Stop the money grubbing DLC/ Cut content! Bungie: Sure! Instead of expensive content, we'll release smaller bits of free content every once in a while. We are listining to the community and giving them what they want. We'll even include a system of microtransactions that are solely cosmetic so other people can pay for you! Community: WTF?! NO DLC?! Destiny is dead!
