Bungie just confirmed no year 2 DLC, R.I.P Destiny
So apparently Bungie just confirmed that they wouldn't be doing any year 2 DLC, based off the report that came out two months ago from Kokatu. We can officially bury the hatchet, folks. This game is toast. If you want to do King's Fall till Destiny 2 comes out, be my guest. Microtransactions have ruined this game. http://youtu.be/y2mwSg5iPQI
Edit: to everyone saying I didn't read the weekly update and not keeping up with the news, this post was made prior to that. In addition, even with those announced DLC's, having no new DLC-like content until spring or so? That'll have been nearly half a year of no new content other than the small additions of sparrow racing and Festival of the Lost.

I consider SRL to be a DLC, I got to play through it for free, and I paid for cool looking sparrows after I played it. I'm happy to pay a few bucks for hours of entertainment from cool looking cosmetics. I got all the armor with the same stats free. I hope we get allot of events like this so I don't mind funding it.

4 AntwortenThis might be the first time a AAA GAME has just decided not to do the rest of the dlc. It's not like the game bombed and no ones playing. You said 5 dlc's bungie. First you cut the story then you cut a bunch of content now your cutting the last two dlc expansions. I love this game but that is a joke.

They are trying to extend the game as much as possible are you people really not seeimg this? The cabal expansion will be a whole game and the fall of the travel will be destiny and these micros will just be there to make more money.

I agree this wasn't a smart idea not having a DLC and yes destiny is dying but I have been with destiny for a little while now and I am trying to believe that they will make something with these special events that will be amazing that could potentially be better then a DLC but we r yet to see. Maybe I am getting my hopes up but I still won't stop thinking it until I see it.

1 AntwortenI hate to say this but I rather see them try to put all their resources into Destiny 2 and not make the mistake of redoing the game the last minute, have little content, etc that plagued Destiny. After TTK came out, you can see what direction they want to take the series. It had almost the same amount of content as year 1, more cutscenes, better dialogue, etc. They can't screw up in the next installment because they lost a good chunk of their fanbase.

5 AntwortenLet's be honest. Nobody was happy with the 2 DLCs from year one. They didn't have adequate time to put out good content. So I think it makes sense for them to do smaller events while focusing on providing an awesome experience for Destiny 2. Eververse and micro transactions aside, I think it was a good move.
