So apparently Bungie just confirmed that they wouldn't be doing any year 2 DLC, based off the report that came out two months ago from Kokatu. We can officially bury the hatchet, folks. This game is toast. If you want to do King's Fall till Destiny 2 comes out, be my guest. Microtransactions have ruined this game. http://youtu.be/y2mwSg5iPQI
Edit: to everyone saying I didn't read the weekly update and not keeping up with the news, this post was made prior to that. In addition, even with those announced DLC's, having no new DLC-like content until spring or so? That'll have been nearly half a year of no new content other than the small additions of sparrow racing and Festival of the Lost.

2 AntwortenSince the release of TTK means it'll be bigger than TDB and HoW and about the size of TTK Stop assuming shit
-
Remember when everyone was like "NO NEW RAID WHEN TTK DROPS!!!! RIP BUNGIE" and then the raid dropped 3 days later? Lol
-
People are perfectly content paying $10 to fully participate in a beta test of sparrow racing. Keep in mind these are some of the same people who complained about paying $17.50 each for TDB and HoW because they were too small. It just goes to show how crazy this community is. Personally I don't like microtransactions in video games. I'm disappointed that this game is moving in that direction. However, I'm glad other people are all for it so I can get free content.

1 AntwortenOr you could just read the latest news update. Two more DLC events announced. One in Winter 2016 and one in Spring 2016. One will be FotL/SRL size, and one will be bigger. Plus a major world update in that timeframe. We already knew these DLC events would replace paid DLC expansions. Supposedly the original planned year 2 Paid DLC expansions will be added to Destiny 2 for a bigger more expansive game.

11 AntwortenOkay. So. I am gonna say this. And only this. I remember when I first had Destiny. There were alot of rumors about the game and the stuff they were doing with it. Then, come to find out that the story, it wasnt the whole story, it wasn't what they wanted. But guess what.aybe they couldn't pull it off without the resources. So they needed to change the game, change how it played and change the story. I remember an old rumor that Destiny 2 would exist and thhat this Destiny, IS JUST A BETA. In a sense, it is true. Because only newbies in the gaming world who just graduated from college or high school, can make a game with bad servers, off balanced multiplayer, and a glitchy as f+ck Raid mode. ONLY NOOBS. All of this is a huge development phase thats live tested. We are teaching them more than they teach us. By making videos and exploiting glitches and bugs that they wouldnt have seen, we do them a favor and save them money. We do them a favor by saying "Hey. I found this glitch you can fix. I am helping you learn how to program a game better." They deserve our support, not as fag bags who rage at the slightest deatj streak because of a mistake they are making themselves, but as loyal players of a game genre of sci fi, shooters, and MMO Adventures. HAVE SOME MOTHERF+CKING APPRECIATION AND HOPE FOR A GAME. YOU ALL DISCRACE YOURSELVES AS GAMERS BY DISRESPECTING THE GAME AND BITCHING ABOUT IT. Its not going to be perfect, it's not going to magically change and fix itself for you. Why do you think there are so many fighting games and RPGs. Because there are different elements, tastes, and engines. I love Marvel vs Capcom, and I myself know that the game is broken in some aspects. I still love it, I dont rage about it. I may not like some players, but that doesnt mean I can get mad at the game. Then there are people who don't loke MvC and play Dead or Alive, or the anime style fighting games. There goes a saying that always applies to the person and not the developers. "Hate the player. Not the game." Wait... I think I said it backwards... but its relevant in this point. Im some cases, you are liable to hate the game because... lets admit it, we have all played a computer game that was just... complete shit. Bad coding, illiterate text display, and obvious glitches that just shouldnt be there. To finish up... These guys at Bungie Studios and Activision in California, or Florida... THEY ARE DOING THEIR DAMNED JOBS AS GAME DEVS & PROGS. SO SHUT UP, SIT DOWN, (a cartoon show on Adult Swim) AND APPRECIATE THAT YOU EVEN HAVE A PLAYABLE DESTINY.

3 AntwortenSure. Not to mention they just announced something the size of other dlc coming in 2016. Moron.
-
This game was D.O.A. People are only just waking up to the fact now.
-
I didn't bother reading the link so what I say may be a bit off but kotaku isn't bungie, yes they have said useful info in the past but did bungie really come out and only tell kotaku? I don't think so although I could be wrong
-
Bungie: You deserve nothing more! Now go buy our Silver slut. *slaps and spits into your mouth* Enjoy :)
-
Do you even read weekly updates obviously not
-
Yeah, but more huge events and game modes that will be the size of festival of the Lost, and may be a permanent edition to your Director. Stop focusing on the negative you salt shakers.
-
Im bored of the game anyway sick of getting the same things over and over again after hours of grinding to get decent stuff i dont ive used all my toc and got the thunderlord twice and a hereafter which i have already got
-
Uhm. Read the comments. They didn't.
-
Yep it's sad had so much potential
-
They have a few small releases planned through spring next year. That's all they've announced as of right now. Maybe when spring comes they'll announce more who knows. You'd have to be a complete moron to give up on it now if you've been playing since the beta. All that time and money for nothing? Be my guest destiny would be better without ya.
-
Destin from ign said a activision person told Him no new dlc for this year whether that means till destiny 2 or 2015
-
23 AntwortenMicro has not ruined the game in any way shape or form. You are not forced to buy anything, yet bungie still produces content to be played. SRL is top notch along with the new sparrows and shaders. Raiding gets old and bungie knows that they need to switch it up to stay relevant. Peace

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von Destro_Night: 12/11/2015 7:44:35 AMTechnically there is. We had sparrow racing. That was DLC Festival of the Lost. That was DLC As will the future activities. They will be DLC. Stands for "Downloadable Content" It is content. And we had to download it. Therefore. It is DLC

R.I.P Destiny... When Destiny 2 arrives...
Its going to be good
3 AntwortenThey've got plans for next year and obviously have an event lined up for Christmas time or whatever. The dark below didn't come out until January so why would they take out a dlc before? It wouldn't make sense considering they've just dropped challenge mode
-
8 AntwortenThe just said in today's update something big is on the horizon. Even if nothing new was planned, I personally played about 3,500 hrs, possibly more. $140 spent divided by hrs played and I average out to 4 cents/hr. I couldn't possibly have gotten that kind of entertainment value anywhere else. So tired of this cancerous forum. You ppl make me sick.
-
When they say big update to the world it means dlc
-
10 AntwortenBearbeitet von x 4theRage: 12/11/2015 7:41:17 AMThey're working on the sequel, i don't think they have the man power to roll out two major expansions and have destiny 2 ready next fall. There's a quote somewhere someone (EDIT: from bungie) said a major dlc is not "sustainable" at the moment or something like that
-
3 AntwortenThese "free" events are really just to get you to use the microtransactions. Destiny has become Farmville. -blam!- you bungle, I'm out.
-
5 AntwortenYou do realize destiny is one of the best selling new ip's ever right....it's not just gonna die off
