Ok I may be completely wrong in what I'm about to say but I'm just very curious. Throughout destiny's life PlayStation has been given many exclusives due to Sony's investment you could say to bungie(I'm aware it was allot though not sure how much, maybe it really is worth it). As an Xbox player I've been getting fairly jealous of PlayStation's constant 1year in advance quests, weapons and soon to be sparrows and sparrow armor or whatever they are going to call it along with iron banner armor. I was wondering what my fellow community members thought about this, both those of Xbox and PlayStation. Are they giving them too much, too little, is it too long of a wait for Xbox players etc. Please let me know because as I said I'm very curious of other people's perspective. (Thanks, and good luck)

Well, don't really care at all. Only thing I really missed on xbox was hawkmoon in y1.

1 AntwortenOnly the customer is losing. Microsoft couldn't give less of a shit if thier people got slightly less content.

Bearbeitet von Mok: 12/7/2015 4:24:07 PMIn Y1 I was concerned that Xbox players would have to purchase the PS exclusives, though we paid the same amount for the game and the expansions. When the 2.0 update dropped, I was pleasantly surprised that it was simply unlocked. Knowing that the content won't make things any easier, I'm no longer concerned about the delay. I think I understand Microsoft's business model, which is that they are no longer seeking third party time-exclusive content and are focusing on first party console exclusive games. They had years of timed-exclusive content to make their decision whether or not to invest in time-exclusive content. I'm guessing that their data showed that console exclusive games sold more consoles than time-exclusive content for third party games released on multiple platforms. Whether it will work or not remains to be seen, since the flagship games (Halo, Gears of War) are just being released two years after the console debuted.

All of the PS3 and 360 generation the Xbox got all the exclusives. Xbox sold more and therefore was able to get the deals for exclusives. This generation the ps4 is top dog and is getting the exclusives. It's just a company trying to soak up as much money as possible.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Big Moist: 12/7/2015 4:05:17 PMIt's only bad when they fail to provide any games that people want and expect it to make up for that, which is exactly what they're doing. Remember the PlayStation Experience everyone? Correct me if I'm wrong but I think most people would enjoy brand new AAA games instead of getting a map early for a single game that came out of a million-dollar marketing deal.

11 Antwortenseriously guys.... you can't be angry on Sony/Playstation for paying a company to provide more content for their customers. you should rather be angry at microsoft for not providing the same service and if you really have a problem with it, then switch consoles. but don't make sony the scapegoat for microsofts failing.
-
I think so. To me it feels like Bungie is lat out ignoring the Xbox community the finger after all the Halo games they made on Xbox. I know that they probably don't mean it in any way. Plus PlayStation did pay for the exclusive content, but at least Xbox players get the content even if it is a year late. I own both systems, but played Destiny on Xbox One because of friends. But I stopped playing Destiny a bit after the Festival of the Lost event.

It first matter as an Xbox player. It's not like we're going against them

Yeeeesssssss

I'm an Xbox player and I don't care about ps exclusives. It may be because I am older than most players and have patience because I am not part of the "I want everything now with minimum effort" generation. Sony are giving money to Bungie to pay for these exclusives. That money will be invested into the game to give content. Xbox players may have to wait, but It is better to wait for content than not have it at all. Even before I hit the Post button, I can hear the cries about cut content. Don't think about it that way, just consider it a gift from Sony that Xbox players have to wait for

Bearbeitet von silvercylon16: 12/7/2015 4:10:52 PMUnless the game is exclusive to only one console, then I'm fine with exclusivity deals. When you're slaves to Corporate $$ I suppose appearances don't matter much.

1 AntwortenThats just how it is I do not think that it is going to far, Sony paid to get there console special treatment from the Developer. If it really bothers a player that much that they are not getting early access to a few things then you can go buy a playstation for destiny.
-
17 AntwortenYes just buy a ps4 we all know Xbox 1 is a failing from day 1 it has no games anymore.

6 AntwortenWhere was all the complaining when xbone had all the good exclusives?
-
I mean even as a ps4 player I think we have too many exclusives. I understand from a business standpoint, kind of textbook imo, nothing you can do about that.
-
Imo I don't really care, Sony paid more than Microsoft for the rights for the exclusives, so I hope they enjoy them exclusives :)
-
-
If it was actually good content, I would care more.
-
Why is everyone so upset? You think it's not fair? Welcome to reality!

Money makes the world go round. Unless you're putting up money, you're opinion is invalid.

9 AntwortenBearbeitet von CreativeTim: 12/7/2015 3:20:18 PMI think it's really wrong for them to do it for iron banner and this sparrow thing. Bungie said that live team was using funds from micro transaction to make this stuff. It should at least be open to everyone that spent money on silver. Players who don't have taken king are getting shafted because they can't do sparrow racing even if they bought silver and Xbox players are getting shafted because they are getting less even though they spent money on silver. Bungie said that this stuff is player supported why should Sony be allowed to come in and just take stuff that we the players are directly paying for? And Playstation players should be pissed too. Sony didn't fund this, you did. They are taking credit for stuff you already paid for. You can make an argument that certain exclusive like strikes and guns would not be made had Sony not paid for it but you can't make the claim for anything the live team is working on.
-
Thats the point of Exclusives. They want you to get jealous, give in, and buy their console.
-
All I got out of this was that you are JEALOUS over the fact that Playstation has more PIXELATED items than Xbox. My neighbors lawn looks better than mine, but I'm not trying to start a war over it.
-
I don't mind the exclusive bit, but I do feel they give us preferential treatment for a bit too long. I think 3-6 months should be plenty of time for "exclusives" to remain as such.
-
Here's the way I see it. I don't give two fuks about PS getting exclusives (most of the time). However, as destiny heads into the sunset, and 2 gets closer, I say they need to stop giving exclusives. I don't want to have to wait until after 2 comes out to play stuff from 1.
